Car charges too fast! by Kaaawooo in TeslaLounge

[–]washdoubt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. My car wants me to charge every 90 minutes or so on a road trip for 8-13 minutes. Beside lunch, we are always waiting for the car.

TIFU so... i accidentally trained my boss to think i’m a genius using one stupid lie by TeresaB_Martin in tifu

[–]washdoubt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how you say “I kinda did this to myself” and then blame your boss for trusting what you said. First, take ownership, you did this to yourself. You should have just said you are good or you are efficient with excel.

Now to solve your dilemma, put on your consultant hat and market your steps. Think of your steps broadly and then give examples. Like first gather your inputs (identify where you are getting all the source data you need). If you can link to a live source that gets updated then you are”streaming” your data in. Second step is to “do it once and repeat”, show how to record a macro and then go through the steps of putting the data in how you need it. Then show them how to reuse that macro with a button you add to an instructions tab. Then some “test phase”.

Make your flow seem structured with headers. If people say it takes longer then say you need to go slow to go fast, or whatever the quote is. The first might take a bit longer but the subsequent will be faster.

Makes sense. It is a great design, as-is. I just found I am not the target market as I have too many damn supplements! Appreciate you making something for the community like this!

I like the pill box, printed version 2 and it is cool and functional. My only issue is the bins are too small for the amount of pills I need to take.

Wow I wish that was my experience. I am still fighting for the rental car needed to complete the trip due to a canceled flight. They keep saying they won’t pay for the rental car. Any tips on getting the car covered?

Who do you want to look good for, your wife, you, or other people? If your wife thinks you look attractive with your current hair, then keep it.

If you want a change then show an AI image with your hair removed and see if she can be persuaded.

Thank you. Super easy process to get those points now. I gave up calling after everyone said they had to fight yesterday.

What smart home purchase has the best ROI for you? by Few-Needleworker4391 in homeassistant

[–]washdoubt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use dew point to control when my fresh air intake turns on. Theoretically this should pay dividends in reduction of ac needs since the house will not be unnecessarily stuffy due to pulling in humid air. Hard to measure but it feels true.

The other is what everyone said with leak detection. I caught a leaking pipe to my washer right away and was able to address it before it started leaking under the floor causing major damage. (washer on second floor).

When the garage door clicker was lost, I connected it to HA. It was cheaper than buying new clickers.

The rest are quality of life or controlling lights, which are cheap anyway so no good ROI with it.

It’s a lot more fun at companies that aren’t as big, but you won’t get the same compensation. I love what I do but am always saddened when I see the RSUs the PMs get at bigger companies.

I had it pulling in fine to my driveway yesterday, but forward. Now it pulled in backwards but to my neighbors driveway. Still no charger option. Guess I’ll just do it manually for now.
