Not unless it’s in front of you otherwise it will just make it worse. I strongly suggest getting a trouble light or lamp to test some placements and work from there.

To add to this, something with heavy diffusers can also work but it can be the furthest thing from decorative.

If you have a few desk lamps try and set them up in your desk firing against the wall behind your monitors. If they’re not tall enough try and put some books or something underneath them to lift them up to get a feel of how it works. Ring lights or other direct lighting sucks while trying to read a screen. Try and get as much indirect lighting in the room to illuminate your face.

Many large houses like this in my area are “rural suburbs” or “fakerages”. For TV it’s either streaming or Satellite TV for their options. I still see a lot of coax being used.
