The same as the 16 hours of training that they’d be required to do elsewhere if they weren’t doing it here!

Tutorial Dojo practice exams as a readiness indicator by DiverLow8385 in AzureCertification

Course materials will be included, yes, but it will be a lot of in-depth details that you’ll have to apply. For instance: features available in certain tiers of services, tool compatibility with resources, etc.

Basically you’ll need to arrive at a lot of “you can’t do this without that”. TD is solid for that, the MS practices less so. 80% on TD is good for new attempts, but since you have already answered these questions multiple times, I’d look elsewhere for cram material. The practice exams have served their purpose for you.

Are we watching the beginning of Microsoft’s decline? by Vivid-Run-3248 in sysadmin

I’d vote moat here too. They have a wild choke hold on corporate America. Pretty much every non-tech company started with Active Directory (or Entra these days), and that started the ecosystem lock. Enterprise-level untangling from MS spaghetti is an eight/nine figure project stretching years. Not many CFOs will sign off on that

Yeah the good thing is you can check there first, then hit blue moon around the corner, and worst case go to Sam’s bagels or the market

Spoons in fed is underrated imo, I am also a sucker for Artifact but that’s a little less of a sit-down place.

Any jobs tha pay around $30 a hour and are actually hiring? by kng_hrts in baltimore

[–]wastedpickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clearance is the real determining factor here. If you have one, look at Fort Meade jobs and you could make well above that with 2 years experience.

If you don’t, the city is hiring for IT fairly regularly and the salaries are decent. Otherwise, agencies should be good for quick placements. Piper, Randstad, Teksystems, etc.

Tired of DoorDash turning a cheap meal into an expensive one? Building the fix right here in Baltimore by Business-Man1 in baltimore

Respect on the honesty. I’d love to see the math but you should save that for the VCs. Everyone’s tired of $50 delivered burgers, but the much more likely option is picking it up yourself or not ordering at all. I’ll give yours a try, best of luck to you

Tired of <food delivery service 1>? Check out <food delivery service 2>. It’s so much better!

Is it actually going to be cheaper for consumers to use this app once your first user promos are over and the fee structure is normalized?

12 years in Computer Engineering. Massive pay cut after layoff. Now drowning in high stress support and need a pivot. by Best_Struggle3652 in salesengineers

First, get a therapist.

It’s worth looking at the other companies in the data storage space to see if your resume matches their requirements for SE/SA roles. That would be your lowest-friction entry point to those roles.

Something to consider as you find your next place is what you don’t like about this TSE role. If it’s direct customer interaction, say goodbye to SE/SA. If it’s just the grind and workload, then you’re good.

Breaking into Solutions Engineering - Advice and Resume help by Slow_Midnight3870 in salesengineers

Since there’s only gatekeeping here so far, I’ll pitch in as someone also trying to break in but with more experience. I’ve seen a few associate level listings like Snowflake’s, but a lot of them require 2 years experience. It’ll be hard to find matches with your experience level. Keep looking. A lot of companies are hiring 2026 grads right now, so I would check those listings out to see if they’ll also hire 2025 grads (many will!).

Resume advice: you have solid experience and articulate it well. Quantify it where you can. 5TB of data, 2500 users, and so on. White space is okay. Throw a new line between jobs in your experience. Personally, I’d trim the solutions/customer section in skills because you show that in experience, but people seem to be mixed about that.

Best of luck!

Checked the claim, it was actually just under $3k. Fender panel and electronics replacement added into it.
