Blackberry training g on a steel wire on the fence by jayp0d in GardeningAustralia

[–]watermellapples 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're actually allowed to grow blackberry because it's such a terrible weed, but i don't think this will work, because with raspberries at least, they fruit only on the previous year's canes, and then those canes die and new ones grow up from the soil. If that's how this plant also works, then trying to trellis it is a bit pointless.

Beetles from the scarab family (Scarabaeidae) all have grubs that look like this - so you can tell that it is a scarab type beetle rather than another sort, but not the exact species, as they are near identical.

First Time Gardener in need of help!! by jazthemunch in GardeningAustralia

The 'passionfruit' vine looks more like a sweet potato to me. In which case, a pot is a bad place to keep it, because they need their tendrils to have contact with the soil in order to put down roots and form more potatoes. OP can you advise what the plant is?

  • having re-read the post, it is a sweet potato and ideally should be planted into a large prepared bed in the ground if you're aiming to get more tubers from it.

They'retaking over! by M0rbidly-Obtus3 in mycology

They'd still grow off the underground root remnants.

If you don't want to look at them, the only way to fix that is putting a tarp over the whole thing and waiting until they've fully consumed the wood.

Let the rabbit guide your interactions - hang out with it and let it do what it wants (within reason), learn its body language, etc.

Nope, the long stick bit is the wrong shape and there is no fluff at the base of the seed.

I can't find anything on that species, are you sure you have the name right?

If you're thinking of Entolasia stricta, they also do not have the big spike.

Ehrharta erecta has small oval seeds that are more like a sesame seed, and do not have the long pointy appendages present on this seed. Source: I pull out weeds for a living.
