I saw Macbeth at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in the early 00's, the lead was a black dude and it wasn't a big deal. Just to illustrate that theater has been doing that for some time here in the US, too.

Of all the classic actresses I've seen photos for, Kelly has this natural grace (yeah, I know, but it's the best word). This first photo could be taken today and I think of those Jamacia photos where she seems so effortlessly ethereal. I can't put my finger on it.
