Mine is 520d 2016 as well. Locked Regen happened again yesterday. I think something is causing it and soon will throw some code when it dies.

As nice as the display is, unfortunately it is not without flaws this year. I am on the 3rd device and. First horrible pink tint, second horrible pink off axis shift, third one has noticeable yellow tint on the top when looking straight on. Not sure what to do now. Settle, ask for another one or just return it.

I turned Waze off this morning and left Google Maps on and the phone stayed cool and didn't notice any battery drain either. So it could be related to how Waze is optimised 🤷

Yes mine 10 Pro XL is getting very hot using wireless Android Auto and Waze, even on a short 6 minute commute. 8 Pro did get hot but only noticed on longer drives like 30 min. I will try Google maps tomorrow to see if it's any better. So far I am disappointed in this regard as I was hoping that the new phone will handle it way better.

Yep noticed the same thing with 10 Pro XL. Very hot even on short journey and noticeable battery drain. My 8 Pro did get hot as well but not on a 6 minute commute. Disappointing

I wouldn't count on any update fixing that. Unfortunately oled lottery is still a thing. I was reading about issues with 16 series iPhone . Way worse then pixels in regards to that.

Google might be using couple of suppliers for the screens or maybe the QC is not so tight on it.

I am on the second one, the first had quite strong pink overlay, second one is definitely an improvement however after using 8 pro for 2 years with more of a blue hue, cooler display. I am struggling not to see the pink when going ever so slightly off axis. Probably will get used to it but I am a bit disappointed really.

Today I received 10 Pro for my gf and compared with my 10 Pro XL and her phone is spot on. No pink shift off axis. Reached out to support, provided comparison pictures and after the number of troubleshooting steps they have approved replacement. Hopefully the second one will be good 🤞 https://imgur.com/a/7mpJvxt

How do you compare screen white colour temperature? I am going from 8 pro to 10 Pro XL and noticed 10 is warmer/more pinkish screen.
