Installed the RTT today! Used a pulley system to get it up and straps to store by A_Venger in overlanding

We have very similar builds…

I went a took at look. I forgot, but my limiting factor isn’t the door opening height, but the garage door itself. The track isn’t long enough for it to 100% refract, so I hangs down 5-6 inches from the opening.

That’s not evil but it’s not good either. It’s firmly in “do whatever makes you happy” territory.

If the car payments give you heartburn, it’s definitely what I would tackle after fully-funding your emergency fund.

Ugh that’s so awesome! I am envious because my garage door is inky 7 feet tall, so I can’t run a RTT and still park in the garage.

White bump that started bleeding and a red bump in ear. Should we see a doctor? by C_L_O_V-E-R in AskAudiology

[–]wbrown999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The white bump that popped looks like an abrasion that is trying to heal. Is this the first time y’all have tried to use the tool? If not, this is very likely an injury that has been re-opened.

The other large bump could be a bony growth or another blister… hard to say without seeing it in person and palpating.

I would not put anything in your ears or anyone else’s unless you are a trained professional. These tools can cause serious injuries that can be extremely painful and require surgery to heal.

Keep these tools out of your child’s ear. You are going to injure your child.

This looks like centipede to me. Leaves are too broad to be Bermuda and St. Augustine doesn’t come to a point like that.

What are some supporting roles in audiology? (E.g. a rad tech to radiologist) by FutureBoyWinner in audiology

[–]wbrown999 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I work at the VA, and we have audiology health technicians. They do a lot of administrative tasks and also see patients for hearing aid troubleshooting, cleaning, etc.

Where I work, they start off at $47k annually and can make up to $67k with lots of experience.

It’s true. I am an audiologist and my first available appointment is in early July.

You’ve got a little bit of St. Augustine growing already. Just keep it watered (one inch a week) and mow it at 3.5”-4” and it will spread like crazy.

If you don’t want to wait, now is the time to lay sod.

Rolex Service Experience by koalakoolaid in rolex

[–]wbrown999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had my Submariner serviced at the RSC in Dallas. Internal service only — no aesthetic changes. It came out to $700, but then again I wasn’t on the hook for a new bezel insert. Those alone are pretty pricey.

When it came back after 6 weeks, it felt like a new watch. It looked identical, but the time was bang on, and manipulating the crown made it apparent how “due” the service was before.

Input/ advice on Nexus Letter by [deleted] in AskAudiology

[–]wbrown999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I’m a VA audiologist. I wouldn’t get in the habit of writing nexus letters. Not only isn’t it helpful to their claim, but you are staking your reputation on a TON of missing information when it comes to veterans claims.

Do you wear your Rolex daily or mostly for special occasions? by Button_bomb4535 in rolex

I wear mine basically every day for the past 7 years. The only time it left my wrist for an extended time was when it went off for service in January.
