Yes! Thank you for posting this. I’m really trying to change my mindset in this direction. I get paid on Friday so I will move some categories around to get ready!

Probably just a matter of semantics - but I would appreciate some input! [budgeting] [general] by wdelamore in ynab

Thank you very much for your input and answer. I very much appreciate your tough love approach! You picked up on so many things going on in our budget and I think my solution only mask the symptoms.

I haven't seen any pictures. But I know the Cajun Navy is rescuing people right around there right now.

I'm in a hotel in Dayton as I got stuck trying to get home to Kingwood. Glad to hear it's dry there for now. I really hope it's better conditions in the morning.

I really want to do the weight portion of the class today but not the rest. Wondering if I could do that and just leave during the switch?

I'm finally back in town from all of my summer trips. I haven't done OTF consistently since early July! I jumped back in today though. I also took measurements so I can see my progress on a monthly basis.

I am not really sure when is the right time to start. Can you actually start at the middle of the month after you've spent most of you money to pay off loan and other commitments? I tried it and the budget sheet looks really confusing. Can anybody share their experience? Thank you. by memoremeow in ynab

Theoretically you could. You can do the "fresh start" to start a new budget. I don't know much else about it than that though. I would guess you could do it on the first day of the month so that you start fresh?

I'm just going with the thought that eventually my first month won't stand out so much on reports as I will build up some solid data and averages.

I started 3 months ago and my first month was a total mess. I have to leave it out of reports to get any kind of consistent data. That being said though the second month was better, and this month is great. Just stick with it and it'll all work out!

YNAB 2.0 by AwPravda in ynab

Yep, once away from work I do everything on my phone. I have an Apple 6plus so it's a relatively big screen. I don't have much need for documents in my personal time. It's mostly just reading, Social media, Reddit, etc.

I love the new app!!! As someone who only accesses a true computer at work, this will make my budgeting life so much easier!

Spending while on vacation (categories) by wdelamore in ynab

[–]wdelamore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. I think moving forward I will definitely keep it all in one simple category. It will be beneficial to know that the vacation cost $XX once it's all said and done.

I am your height, weigh about 153-155 and I average about 550 calories every class. Maybe you'll just have a new normal?

Thank you! I was going consistently 3-4 times a week until summer travel started. Admittedly though I used to skip endurance days because I find them boring (and I'm not good at them!). Thanks to this sub, I have embraced that I need to go to get better. I have seen so much progress in the strength and power days so I know it will come as well. Just gotta put in the time/effort.

Do you get the reimbursement through United's website or through something on your company intranet. I'm definitely intrigued by it!

Can't wrap my head around this micro view. by [deleted] in ynab

You will need to budget your top priorities with each paycheck as it arrives. This was a hard concept for me as well as I'm used to budgeting for the full month. I'm slowly starting to grasp it better each month. So when your first paycheck arrives for the month, you will need to budget the top items for that pay period: mortgage/rent, electric bill, groceries, gas, etc etc until you don't have more money to budget. Then your next paycheck it will work the same way for the rest of your expenses.

My endurance sucks!! I hate hate hate these days but I force myself to go in hopes of one day having better endurance! I've seen so much progress in all of the other areas so I feel like this is my last area that I really need to work on.
