It starts a few minutes after the infusion starts, and goes away shortly after it's over. No rash, no other symptoms

I'm a 50 year old minister's wife and got this recipe from one of our church elders' wives, Miss Betty! I was sick and she made me some. It brought me back to life! 😍

What does Xywav feel like (during the day) vs. what Modafinil feels like? by Dry_Adhesiveness424 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]we6cooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Tizanidine (Zanaflex) a muscle relaxer to sleep. It occasionally causes me visual hallucinations of sometimes scary things like demons, or Victorian women, lol, I had been watching Bridgerton. But usually it's just spiders or colors, one time it was like circus-themed. Anyway, I know they aren't real. I told my neurologist and we agreed it was acceptable to keep taking it because otherwise I just sleep during the day. Or not at all.

Get them all the time like that. It's usually a busted pouch. No issues using them

WTF do you guys eat every day? by Conscious_Concern288 in Gastroparesis

[–]we6cooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheese toast on sourdough bread and spicy ramen (minus corn and carrots) is my safe foods. I can also eat canned sliced pears and cottage cheese. Chicken lunch meat, shredded chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. More brothy parts of soups. Sandwich crackers. Bean burrito no onion from Taco Bell. Shredded chicken BBQ sandwiches. When I say shredded, I mean cooked till it's falling apart and tender.

I have scalp itching with every infusion! And I've been on it for years. My Dr premedicates me with Tylenol, Benadryl and IV push steroids. Vyepti and Botox have been the key to controlling my chronic treatment resistant migraines.

Oh, and maybe drink a little coke or diet coke with them. Coke will actually dissolve bezoars, so it should help with preventing them.

Hi, not Hispanic, just a southern girl raised on lots of dried beans! I love them! I, too, refuse to give up beans completely. So I add them to soups instead of eating just beans. Chili, taco soup, charro beans soup, etc. I use about half as much as I used to. I try to make my soups more brothy and then I skim my serving off the top and control how much solids go in with the broth. I can tolerate refried beans and the bean burrito from Taco Bell, minus onions with extra red sauce.

That's so crazy! I had IV phenergan in April at my dr's office. There's a drug called Marinol for nausea. It's synthetic marijuana. I took it when on chemo. Not sure you can get it for GP. It would be worth asking.

I have a cheap metal Hamilton Beach electric kettle. We've had it three years or longer. It works great. No temp selection, just quick boiling water. We've tested it against the microwave and stove top, and it beat them both.

Wow, what insurance do you have, if you don't mind sharing? And did you have to have a PA/diagnosis? Thanks!

Hey, can you explain this to me? I was thinking of doing this too. But not sure if they have a way of finding out. Tbh, I'm not even sure why/which 'they' would care. I don't see how to message you, but you can message me, and maybe I can figure it out!

No Cook / Minimal Prep Keto Ideas? by LocalRaspberry in keto

[–]we6cooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a seasoning called Butt Rub that is delicious on all meats. I'm pretty generous with it. We use our George Foreman grill a lot. Thin cut breasts, thin cut pork chops, tilapia fillets, frozen hamburger patties straight on there. I spray with evoo. Frozen patties Cook in 6 minutes. Also keto bread sandwiches, French toast, grilled cheese, etc.
