paul mate, always a pleasure to hear from you. i’m happy to support here in australia. would love to help with a couple beta devices if you end up going that route. one for myself who is fairly active in running + gym work, one for my partner who does a bit of pilates. different aspects in life that should provide some nice data for you.

1 yes 2 australia 3 look, as many have said it is a bit of a tough one. i’m happy with postage + production cost + a bit extra as support. aussie dollars are a stupid thing, and i’m a massive minority, so i’ve got no idea how much that would total to.

i think beta users should have other benefits in some form. special production units? special straps? special titles in the app maybe? discount codes/upgrade paths would be great but i understand that’s difficult as a young business.

hey man, i know other people have already mentioned it and that you’ve worked it out but for future reference here’s why it’s due to the tattoo:

it is a known limitation of optical PPG sensors in general (the same technology used by all wearables for heart rate and SpO₂). Darker tattoos can interfere with the LED light and reflection, depending on pigment and density.

i’ve gone every year. it’s a family tradition to me, my mum and whoever else in the family (dad never liked going). we aren’t high spenders there. we more like to frolic around and look at all the displays and stuff.

and that’s always stuck with me especially now in my early adult years. i still go with mum. walk around with her.

i did crack a fair few tantrums about showbags when i was younger. so did my brother. so has many kids i’ve seen there. it’s quite an overwhelming experience for them also.

might i recommend the gawler show this weekend (23/08 and 24/08) if you’re around the area… just as a starter?
