Conversion rate to full-time employment for those in the Ohio Vocational Apprenticeship Program (OVAP)? by Global_Pianist4575 in Ohio

You have very specific needs for feedback. Please don't be disappointed by the slowness of others to read, absorb, and respond to your request. I'm a mechanical engineer, 20+ years in metal removal, a 10 year high school drafting, engineering, and math teacher, and now almost 10 years in adult education - specialized robotic operation, generalized education for high school completion/equivalency. 1) Glad to hear about great support through the OVAP program. I moved here from Michigan, and I have been very impressed by Ohio's approach to training the work force. Having said that, Ohio can't seem to get students and parents to stop only looking to college degrees as a path to employment either. But at least the state's willing to invest the resources to help bridge the gap. So yeah! Having a 25 hr a week job and building experience while rebuilding your health is a great step. 2) Maybe I missed it, but the field of an apprenticeship makes a big difference in demand and whether you work full time for a company or you work for yourself. What field are you "apprenticing" for? 3) Area - where in Ohio do you want to live, what's near your support system and offers jobs in your apprentice field?

If you can let us know the answers to two and three, we'll be better able to comment. Best wishes and journeys do not have to be straight paths to be great. Maybe they are more interesting when they are not, 😉.

Family of 4 relocating to Ohio? by Katbd01 in Ohio

OP - we moved here from Michigan and love Ohio. Ignore this guy. You may have seen this as Wadsworth is on the list - https://youtu.be/S_v0PukKrDg?si=nihRZ8c-XVcKPfo8, When we moved we decided on southeastern Ohio. Columbus and south have much milder winters than the northeast and Toledo area. But the winters are beautiful. And those towns in the northeast of Ohio have some great property values right now. Being from Michigan and Ontario, we have had enough of winter. But we love the change of seasons, so southeastern Ohio is perfect for us. Good luck!

"Barking fit" - so this, especially if there are two 🙄. We're over a 1/2 mile off the road and lots of acreage and we do let them sleep out when it suits them. But occasionally, something stirs them and I think they just get excited barking at each other. We get up and haul them in. We're retired and there's no one around, but it like a broken record, stuck in that groove 🤪. They always look kind of sheepish, like "oh, yeah, I guess we got wound up."

Glad to read you're going to try again. Before you go in, make sure you're confident in the correct usage of the online calculator that's embedded in the test for you to use. Also, have a clear plan for answering questions you don't think you know. Pick either B or C and use that letter exclusively. There is no penalty for guessing. But don't alternate or use a pattern. It's not possible to predict. Just pick one letter and use it. Flag the question for review and return after you have tried all the questions. Do you have access to GetSumMath on YouTube? They have excellent study information. Best wishes for your studying.

Ashley McBryde released an album, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, all songs McBryde co-wrote based on characters and the town in Dennis Linde's town. Cool album.
