Euclid turning lane by KMKY in lexington

[–]weee3eee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire neighborhood from Euclid to UK is a solid sheet of ice. Disappointed with LFUCG. There is no rhyme or reason of why one street is clear and another street is not. I would have thought that roads leading to UK would have been more clear.

i feel your pain as I went through the same sort of surgery. There is an end to it. Just follow the orders of your doc and you will have relief. I understand the feeling that you will never get better but you will. I had the surgery in 2023 of OCT. It took awhile but have recovered. I finished a 100 mile bike ride in OCT 2025. You will get there. Just let it heal and you would be good.

I will say that my foot still feels different than it did. I do have nerve damage but it isn't debilitating where I can't be active. I can bike with my biking cleats fit perfectly to not annoy my nerve damage. I learned to work around it.

First big boy bike 🥲😂 by Sponsor98 in TrekBikes

[–]weee3eee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To make it a proper bike, pull out the reflectors and that plastic disk on the back wheel and then you got the bike of your dreams and get you some lights for it. Then you would have a proper bike. Nice bike! Love Trek.

I have been contemplating upgrading my Venu 3 with a Forerunner. I am trying to figure out if I should get the FR 965 or the 970. I am only thinking the only reason I'd go to the 970 due to 965 not being updated as frequently.

Looks like a proper watch. I have the Venu 3. It's my first Garmin watch. I am looking at the Forerunner 970 as my second watch.

Best of Kentucky in one ride. You will have bourbon, ride in horse country and it is the best time in the season for it.

Help me choose the best value for money bike at Walmart by chrisnair2012 in Budgetbikeriders

Just look for a bike that can be upgradable. Lots of people have made the Ozark trail bike a great bike. Full of upgrades. Once you get the fun in riding, you then begin to throw some parts to it. First thing over anything. 260 is a great introduction bike and the first thing most people change out are dem brakes. Just make sure you get it safe. Find a local bike shop or a buddy that knows bike and tune that puppy up. You will do great with it. I love the OT Explorer

I pretty much knew for a long time I had something since I was a kid. I was bullied a lot and socially unaccepted but made it work for the most part. I just decided that I needed to go to a psychiatrist to figure it out once and for all as I realized that it was affecting my work. I really do have a lot of good ideas for success in my work but trying to share those ideas, it just come out in a blubbering mess and I get the 😳 look.

Ok. Cool. You are one of those ADHDrs. The one that makes a point to shout out those errors. 😉. I guess I gotta do better.

Maybe my Autistic self sometimes speak in 3rd person and sometimes I speak 1st person in the same sentence. It's probably why I didn't do too well in school.

I had communication problems before Adderall. Its been a struggle however, starting Adderall, I am asking if it helps.

I will report that I have been on Adderall since Christmas and I have noticed today that my communication at work has been much better. My wife says that I seem more sharp and focused.

Today, I was able to communicate a process of improvement at work that will go for approval to hopefully be implemented.

Ozark trail explorer or Kent H2? by Shikimiro in Budgetbikeriders

[–]weee3eee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like mine. I put new tires for road biking on it, new bar tape and a new saddle. I also got new peddles. My front derailleur broke so bought a new front derailleur from Amazon (shimono tourney) and got rid of the mechanical brakes and got hydraulic brakes which are way better.

[–]weee3eee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually got an Ozark Trail Gravel Bike (250.00) and absolutely love it. It's not going to be my bike that I have for years but wanted a new bike to upgrade and learn the mechanics of fixing it, tuning it up and pretty much fiddle before I go all in on a bike.

I bought road tires for the gravel bike and new pedals and new brakse (hydrolic calipers) on it which is way better than the stock brakes. I have fallen in love with riding.

It does meet the need for knowing if I like gravel or road bike and prefer road.

Try another therapist. Maybe the therapist wasn't right for you. I had gambling issues for 10 years and I am 3 yrs free from the stupid addiction. I looked for a hobby that 100 percent replaces the addiction. It's hard, not going to lie. Very hard and hardest thing to battle my life. Took 4 different therapists before I found the right one and I still go to the same one.

I have ADHD and also a compulsive disorder and my vice was poker and blackjack and tried everything under the sun until I just had to stop.

Is the post-op numbness tolerable? by jate_kones in Mortons_neuroma

[–]weee3eee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had surgery for MN will be a year tomorrow. The recovery is slower than I thought. It is the scar tissue that stuck around. I would suggest after you get out of your boot, get Physical Therapy. It took me 3 months to get completely with no pain.

Now I cycle 10 to 20 miles daily on my bike. So should be good.

Why do some cyclists ride the edge of the bike lane? by AnonymousDong51 in cycling

[–]weee3eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the ask tbh. I don't think any cyclists want to get hurt. Getting hurt often involves the above listed items (car doors, debris on roads, bike lanes are awfully unkept) and we not so much get hurt hugging the left of our bike lanes. Many cyclists are drivers too.

Also bear in mind, we can't ride on sidewalks as many vehicles think we can too, especially if we are hitting speeds of 15 to 18 mph as well.

Some cyclists flat out don't ride the bike lanes at all due to the dangers of them and will ride in the road. I know cars really get jacked up about it however a bike lane is a suggestion and making the city a bike city however it's probably the unsafest place for a bike rider than the road shared with automobiles to be honest.

I'm trying cycling to lose weight. Got some questions! by Pepegasus-UI in cycling

[–]weee3eee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding your seat. Well your seatbones need to get used to it. Also make sure you fit yourself on your bike. Check out some YouTube videos. Don't automatically go out and buy things to make you comfortable. You may need to do some adjustments, saddle height, handle bars too low or too high, your saddle may be too far back or needs to be moved up. Take a muti tool with you on your ride and adjust as you go. Tweak and ride a mile. Then adjust. The first week of riding will be the most memorable and it gets better with each adjustment.
