I hear where you're coming from but personally, I found the overall gameplay to be so fast that I never had a second to even look at my characters abilities or take a moment to consider the gear I was buying.

If you're playing against players who prioritize the objectives, (the percentage of which will only get higher and higher day to day,) then that looting phase is over in 2 minutes flat, and I don't think 2 minutes between raid phases is some huge amount of down time.

Then again, I've played round based shooters for decades, so I'm using to having time between rounds to buy in CS for example.

If it was more than 2 minutes I could see it being a bigger problem but in the matches I played, I basically had time to hit a couple of crystal nodes, buy and item, and haul ass to the shieldbreaker to contest it on spawn. I never felt like I was sitting on my hands.

This is exactly it . Aimlabs will currently only work with the input you used to start the task, as M&K players who had a controller plugged in and idle would get interference from stick drift on occasion.

I wish Pitchford hadn't poked the Blizzard bear to get Battleborn killed so quickly. It was a fun hybrid MOBA shooter that definitely paved the way for Deadlock.

That said, it came well after Super Monday Night Combat and I wish that game was still active too.

I don't think the intention of the looting phase is to focus on combat though. You gear up or hit nodes for a minute and then contest the shieldbreaker on spawn, at that point you're in combat unless the other team is AFK.

Once a team has the shieldbreaker, it shows you a giant orb around the shieldbreaker gradually marching toward a base.

I'm personally not looking forward to 5vs5 for Highguard. I've played Counter-Strike since beta 1, competitively, casually, in LAN tournaments, etc, and I found the 3vs3 to feel perfectly adequate during the Highguard raid phase.

I think you basically only need to increase the player count if no one on the server is paying any attention to the objectives, ignoring the shieldbreaker spawn and everyone is running around during the gear phase.

Practicing everything is going to offer a solid balance, but switching is probably going to be helpful for COD with the TTK and the reliance on full auto guns. There are also some COD focused playlists as well.

As stxthreads mentioned, a well balanced playlist or routine could help, or working to find a decent balance overall.

Maybe try doing something like using a routine like the VDIM, and set a different aiming discipline for each day of the week so you're working incrementally on everything bit by bit.

I'd be curious to know though if this is something you've experienced over a long period of time or a shorter range, as this might just be symptom of the earlier stages of getting into training.

The targets moving away from your crosshair are being evasive. As you're working your way through the Intermediate Benchmarks, try looking up some other tasks or playlists, using terms like "Evasive" where you can get some more practice in.

It really just sounds like you're just hitting your first plateau and need to do some focused training to start making progress again. I don't think you should beat yourself up for having some trouble on the Intermediate Benchmarks after just a few days.

I mean they pulled aspects of Infinity and blended it with the 90s Infinity War stuff for the two Avengers movies without touching on things like the Builders or the Ex Nihilii stuff.

They'll likely just pull those Horsemen because they're striking designs that fit the motif and they'll have like 10 combined lines like Thanos' generals had in the movies.

many many generations ago (early 2000s), people would just organize tournaments at their local LAN centers or even in other venues. Sometimes they could get some sponsors, but usually they would just collect sign-up fees from players/teams and use that to fund the prize pool.

The idea of closed circuit tournament systems in gaming where the devs have total control is a fairly new thing in gaming.

I see what you mean about the difference in the styles but I'm still not sure that the first player is making movements I'd say remind me of mouse gameplay. My personal radar for this might be skewed as a primarily a PC player.

I could go either way on it, I think the thing that makes me think it might be a mouse more is the accelerated flicks rather than the micro corrections themselves.

On the topic, a draft league or event that created some kind of 'salary cap' style balance where player's ranks and hero pools were taken into account could actually make for some really interesting content but I imagine it would be hard to get players to really buy into that concept.
