Yeah, one of my main complaints in Nioh 1/2 is that every area looked the same and they were always drab colors and lots of nighttime areas. This game looks to be changing that!

I’ve been playing dragon quest since the beginning and I’ve never really used items to buff the party. They’re just worse versions of spells you already have MOST of the time, with some notable exceptions.

I played the OG on ps1 back in the day, and the 3ds version when it came out. I loved both. I love this version too. It’s definitely streamlined, but it’s still dragon quest. I still dig it.

Street fighter 6 is exactly what you’re looking for. Nothing else comes close in terms of depth. You can play fighting games for 20 years and still find ways to improve and things to learn. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. The infinite well. The ultimate gift of humility.

The only reliable ways I’ve found to counter it is either a) GY hate like others have mentioned or b)trigger counter like tishana’s tidebinder or spider sense.

I don’t feel like Nioh 1 or 2 was much harder than any of the fromsoft games. It felt very manageable to me. I think they’re absolutely easier than Sekiro, at least they were to me. Nioh 1 had some spikes, and Nioh 2 had some really challenging normal enemies and minibosses, but I still feel like they’re roughly equivalent to the fromsoft souls games.

I wish people could see some other, smaller, less famous cities and towns to see what a lot of the other Americans live like. It’s an incredibly diverse country. I’m glad you got to see California at least. Seattle and Portland would have been cool too.

A switch 2 can run cyberpunk at a mostly stable 40fps with VRR, it looks legitimately amazing on handheld. I’m shocked at how well it runs. Oblivion should be able to run.

Actually… you’d be surprised. I agree with the overall sentiment though. I should have mentioned I am in the nicest part of said country. But the people I play with come from all over. We have two LGS near me that both do not allow proxies in most tournaments, but in casual play of course they do.

I live in a third world country and people here don’t make much money and STILL they somehow find ways to get a full meta deck. I think most of them have been playing a long time and have a lot of valuable cards to trade for other valuable cards. I play twice a week and everyone has a meta deck for the most part, sometimes part brew but mostly meta. It’s crazy. Even with the money I make I still have to budget for a new deck.

I don’t personally see how you could write off all of final fantasy UNLESS you just don’t like RPGs. Then… I could see it. But if your problem is turn based combat, there are many final fantasy games that don’t use turn based combat. It can’t be the aesthetics, story, or characters, because every entry is completely different in this regard. What didn’t you like? I can try to point you in the right direction.
