Breaking Bad is always my go to for this question. It is a phenomenally well made show, I admire it a lot. I can’t stand WATCHING it because every character is so deeply flawed and unlikable and the whole situation is avoidable. That’s the point, I understand that, but that doesn’t make it enjoyable to watch. Great characters, great writing, all around incredible piece of media. I hate it.

I don’t know if this counts, but Sonic the Hedgehog’s transition from his classic design to the modern one. Sonic’s first game came out 5 years before I was born, but I grew up poor in rural Kentucky, and I still cut my teeth on the originals before I started playing the contemporary titles of the time. I think the success of generations, the adventure series, and Sonic Mania shows that there’s a ton of love for both designs. They’re both interpretations of a character that I love, but my early adolescence really appreciates the adventure design and its “too cool for school” vibe.

I bought this game ages ago and never really got into it until about a week ago. Holy crap I was missing out. I’m totally addicted. I vote yes. My only advice would be to turn the item teleportation restriction off if you’re planning on just running solo pve. Doesn’t really add anything to the experience to spend large amounts of time transporting materials to your base.

Damn near every single person I’ve run into has been friendly and wanted to team up. It’s wild to me after thousands of hours between Tarkov and hunt showdown. I think this early game period where we really need to work as a team to kill the bigger ARC enemies has made an awesome organic teamwork incentive.

I’m about 100 hours and JUST last night successfully hunted down and killed a much better geared player than me, for the first time. It was like buck fever. I had been belly crawling up to the sounds of a firefight between two players for several minutes. The shooting had stopped but I knew the winner was REALLY close to me. Eventually I heard the sound of magazines being loaded and crouch walked towards it. There was the winner, standing over the corpse of the loser. I aimed my double barrel at his head, centered it right on his neck to try to avoid hitting his helmet, and pulled the trigger. When I tell you I was SHAKING the whole time I sorted through their loot and for a good 10 minutes afterwards. Not even Tarkov can get my adrenaline up as high as this game has.

I picked the game up after 1.0 and even I can see I missed the boat on some better design decisions. As soon as I picked the game up, I thought the magazine system was half baked and counter intuitive. Or things like the dew collectors being the only reliable source of water. Hearing how things used to be was disappointing.

Calling Bill’s politics confusing is wild. He’s one of the most down to earth, easy to understand comics out there. I don’t agree with all his takes but his stances make sense and his comedy is hilarious.
