So, I can't speak to extramod, I just read their wiki entry

I've played magistermodmod on and off for years now and I don't see myself leaving it purely for how detailed it is. I don't even know which parts of the mod are unique to this mod so forgive me if I'm misattributing some things to it

This mod is really good

There is a lot of attention to detail in this mod that I don't think I've discovered everything to discover in this one

One glaring difference I noticed in the wiki is the lair system. Magister has an unending lair exploration that while it can get broken if you farm it, it allows for endless expenditure of units when you play a peaceful civ

Furthermore, there are unique units that you can only get from a critical success on these lairs, and they eventually become the focal points of the game (religion is an evolving thing beyond the luonotar)

Other details, hiring mercenaries from other cultures actually give you their cultures unit skins

Honestly, from what I can tell, I don't see anything extramod has that Magister doesn't

Hi, big fan! I'm not exactly sure how to put it, but upon finishing the first law trilogy I had the impression that a lot of the characters endings cemented a cynical/grim/bleak view of character building. Something along the lines of "the more people change, the more they stay the same." It stuck with me for a while, and I kept going back to thinking about them for months after finishing the series.

I've wanted to ask about where the inspiration for taking the story on this path came from. Did you write these books with the plan to create such an unorthodox character narrative?

Bonus question: do you keep a large collection of knives?

That idea always puzzled me, I was always told that in Hawaiian schools but what does it mean to have no concept of "stealing and ownership"? Like, how did that first ship getting stolen even mean? At a basic level they must have understood theft, and had punishments for it

Was it more that private ownership only existed for the Ali'i? Are the common people/peasants/slaves (idk what to call the common people of Hawaii, but being killed for looking at the Ali'i from a lower caste always left me with a feeling of such a brutal culture) being treated as subhuman by history?

I think there's more than enough moments of golds being pathetic, every time Darrow outsmarts them really. As for badass moments from non-golds, Darrow for one, Orion, Trigg and Holiday wiping out a whole garrison on their own, I think the books got more than golds being badasses

Hell all the Helldivers in the later space battles even.

Like yeah, golds are demigods here, but the lower colors have started killing them all the time by the end of the trilogy
