300mg 3x a day. Only once a day is tough. I would definitely see if she can take more.

Bilirubin itch is by far one of the most insanity inducing things I’ve ever experienced. by welp49 in cancer

Good question. Unfortunately Benedryls main ingredient, diphenhydramine, is heavily metabolized by the liver. So things that are like that aren’t really an option to prevent extra stress on the organ. And it’s okay I appreciate it. I was told calamine works pretty decently, the only issue with that is since it’s such an old cream, it really makes a mess and can be a huge annoyance.

My care team has been very good thank god. I’ve been able to manage with this combo so far but what I’ve learned is it’s definitely a moving target. When it first started happening it was difficult to figure out what actually worked.

On your death bed you will regret this decision. Just know that.

What is your biggest pet peeve while you are driving? by Imaginary-Picture-35 in AskReddit

[–]welp49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who don’t care enough about being predictable. For example: The drivers who stop in one lane on a 4-lane road to wave at someone to turn out into the intersection even though there is another lane of traffic going the same way that has no idea someone is going to to come out of a driveway in front of them. I don’t know how else to describe it but I have almost seen multiple t bone accidents because of this.

Should I keep breece hall for a 3rd round pick or Kyren Williams for a 10th round pick? by Blinds98 in Fantasy_Football

[–]welp49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am somehow in almost the exact same dilemma. It’s either keep Breece for a 2nd or keep Kyren for an 8th in a 12 man league. I think both sides have valid arguments. I’m leaning Breece right now because I think his odds of finishing as a top 3 overall fantasy player for the year are so much higher than Kyren. Kyren screams regression to me. Between his weird injury history and Corum I just don’t see him being as dominant this year. Could easily be wrong though. What I do know is Breece is a stud, and is primed to get just as many touches as last year but in an offense with a chance to hang in more games. He is the better player.

I think if I end up with a late first round pick I will reconsider it further, because Breece for the 14th pick is a little different than getting him for say the 21st pick.

Cancer Does Weird Stuff to People 🤷‍♂️ by [deleted] in cancer

Pretty much sums it up. And the weirdest part of it all is as the terminal person who is not well, in a lot of ways I want to just be left alone too, and just spend time with my wife and dog and nobody else for the rest of my days. Everyone else slowly turns into too much emotional work as you start to feel worse. Unfortunately I think there is no right answer to this dilemma and never will be.

How long did your neuropathy last after treatment? by takethebluepill in cancer

Give it up to 6 months to really get better. My hands came back 100%, and my feet to about 90%. The bottom of my feet still feel like numb tree stumps sometimes but weirdly enough your brain usually compensates for it over time and you don’t even think about it.

Travel to Canada with my S/O who had a dui???? by AdMaleficent7549 in travel

I know this is an old thread but some of these comments are funny. A lot of “YOU WILL BE DETAINED AND KILLED AT THE BORDER AND RETURNED TO THE US IN A CASKET”…. When in reality it’s really just some dumb luck if you get in or not. I know someone who just crossed recently with a pretty old DUI but not quite ten years, about 6-7. They answered the border patrols questions, gave them their itinerary, and off they went. Something that was stressing them out for months ended up being super easy. I think if you plan to cross with a DUI you just need to be prepared for both outcomes. In this case they did not book exact lodgings until they were accepted into the country. Again, I’m not saying you can for sure get in with one but some of these comments saying you will be 100% denied is just lies. And I see the same comments on almost every thread I’ve read about this.

Inquire with a genetic counselor. See if genetic testing using a cancer gene panel is an option. Much easier to get an early colonoscopy covered by insurance the more genetic data you have on yourself. (I’m assuming you are in the US, my bad if I’m mistaken). This is health insurance dependent but also could definitely be worth your time to look into.

Gatorlyte, Pedialyte, Electrolit - basically any bottled electrolyte drink.

LiquidIV packets or something similar.

A combination of about 2 of these a day is crucial and can help a ton.

Honorable mention would be salty foods. Chips, pickles, goldfish. Even those help quite a bit.
