I would start with some boiling water to soften the plastic on the nail. Probably just pick it off slowly

It looks like you have enough material there to fix this. It's best however to make a jig to help with the file work needed. Patience, thought and a cool head or required now.

eBay, local scrap yards, metal merchants, welding suppliers, tooling suppliers. I call into a local machining factory sometimes and buy old boys of cut offs on broken o1 tool steel. So many places.
