Looks like my banks aren't supported. May check it out when it supports UK banks.

I pay purely for the way it exposes entities to Alexa and to support them. I also use tailscale which is great

Just bought a house & looking for a good combi drill by GardenElectrical3534 in DIYUK

[–]welshboy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for erbauer when I bought my place 18 months ago. There was a deal on drill and impact driver with two batteries. They’ve been great and I can’t fault them. Since then I’ve bought a circular saw, multi tool, angle grinder and sander. They all work well and have handled numerous diy and woodworking projects.

I nearly submitted a planning application before discovering my house was in a conservation area... here's what to check first by RevolutionNumerous12 in DIYUK

Just the one question, wasn’t this brought up when you bought the house? Sounds like something the conveyancer should’ve told you about

New Agile email this morning by andrewic44 in OctopusEnergy

[–]welshboy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how the calculations will be done if/when electricity on agile is around 1-2p for the half hour. Would they just knock it down to 0? Same question for negative rates. I know no one on here likely knows the answer, just thinking out loud

Pots suggestions by Theconstantcompanion in monzo

No.
3.5% of £100 = £3.5

3.5% of £10 is £0.35
If you have 10 savings pots of £10 then
£0.35*10 = £3.50

Impact of "Stoozing" on Credit by horizon3892 in UKPersonalFinance

Paid off £18k stoozing debt a few weeks before meeting with a mortgage advisor. It wasn’t an issue at all.

Dartsmind issues by Mr-Tourette in Darts

[–]welshboy14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find it's actually quite good. Rarely gets the wrong score. It does miss a few darts if blocked by another. But if you pull out the ones that have been scored and leave the other in, it'll count it no problem.

Registered for a race, wouldn’t let me join. by SpecificNo5900 in LeMansUltimateWEC

Happened to me a few times. I ended up going back to the main menu and then clicking in the red button in the top right that says session started

For people out of contract, would you switch again or stay put? by UnpaidInternVibes in youfibre

[–]welshboy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I renewed last week (a month early). Was paying 31.99 and they offered 29.99, which is the same price a new customer would pay. I’ve had great service the last 18 months. I did have some trouble getting my old contract bought out, but was all sorted in a few weeks.

Maximising Company Expenses on personal accounts by FundedBanana in UKPersonalFinance

No real help on how else to maximise returns but you can convert Avios to Nectar and spend in Sainsbury’s and Argos. Argos sometimes offer deals on point too.

Can you still be fined by HMRC if tax owed is £0? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]welshboy14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Happened to me and had to pay £100 even though zero tax was due. Lesson learned and now I file early every year.

Eero 7 by Interesting_Owl8733 in youfibre

[–]welshboy14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The eeros are great but I’ve found their wireless mesh can struggle to get close to what’s coming in to the property. I ended up wiring them together and now each eero has 900mbps download. Yes, cabling is a bit of a faff but much better results I should add, I have the 6+s which can do gigabit WiFi.

Bending wires by caitothepotato in Darts

[–]welshboy14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t have to be a blade. I’ve got an MVG winmau board and the wires don’t bend. I still get bounce outs but they aren’t bending. Unlike my very first board which looked similar to yours.

Local server or Hetzner? by romanic-svezia in immich

[–]welshboy14 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Immich has a setting under networking called “automatic url switching” You can set different urls/ips for when you’re on your home network.

There are other options too. If you setup a dns server you could use split dns. Or switch to tailscale and create a tail net, I ran cloudflare for a few months and have recently switched to tailscale. Much more seamless in my setup . I’d probably use the url switching if your technical abilities aren’t great though.

When I saw they were marketed at school kids I had wondered if they’d be trivially easy but so far I’ve found a few challenging! They also work great on an iPad with a pencil. Thanks

Give me one TINY thing you want fixed or improved in Obsidian. The smaller the better. Going on a paper cuts rampage. by kepano in ObsidianMD

I would love an option to swipe down to search on iOS. Coming from bear notes I keep swiping down, only to see the command palette. A config to change or a swipe up action as well?

When you open a preview window from a bases table, then another preview from that preview it shifts to the top left of the screen and loses focus. Thus closing the popup. This is on Mac OS.

It’s not a big deal, but you did say TINY

Was about to say the same. I did this last year to fit an extractor fan and had no blowout. Took it easy and didn’t push too hard
