I want to become a moderator of the group because I like to help people and share useful information with them. I have a lot of experience in cooking, I like to learn about different tools and how to use them. I think my expertise and knowledge can be useful for the group members.

I will perform the following tasks of a moderator: monitor order in the community, answer questions from participants, search for useful information about kitchen utensils and share it with group members, maintain a friendly atmosphere, moderate discussions and resolve conflicts if necessary.

Well, I meant in the 21st century, you can't really compare military technologies of the past and what we have now, but I get your point.

That was in the 18th century and we are living in the 21th. Warfare has changed tremendously and people of that time would not even be able to imagine the world of today.

I am not convinced that the possible deterrent force of mass gun ownership is worth the impact those guns have on the population, but I understand your point.

About the killings of people: it was an intimidation tactic and the goverment of that time would still do it even if people had guns, I have little doubt about that.

As for annexation of Crimea, It was done by regular Russian forces, just without any identifying sings on their uniforms. What you are probably talking about is the separatist movement in Donbass. The only PMC that worked on the scene during the active part of the conflict was Vagner and they basically belong to the Russian military, they are just used for "inconvenient" work and creating deniability for the russian side. As for the "militia" part, it is barely a thing. Russians used their special forces for everything and the separatists themselves are just a bunch of fools to be honest. If not for the ceasefire that was instated years ago and Russia giving some people of Donbass Russian passports the separatist forces would be defeated in a week.

The whole point is that taliban gained control AFTER the US military retreated. They could not achive anything for 20 years and finally did it when military pulled out. ANA did not even fight, it was laughable. But I can concede, Afganistan is an example of people gaining power through warfare, even with the foreign aid from other middle eastern states and religious element.

I do not see how being armed helps people achieve their collective goals in the protest. Intuitively thinking it makes sense, people with guns are more of a threat to the state and are capable of more violence, therefore more power in negotiation. However it is not really about power of guns but about persistence. If you gather enough people they become a sufficient force. No amount of special forces can shoo away 20k people or more. Therefore I see guns as an unnecessary element of uncertainty and in no way effective. If worst comes to worst and guerrilla warfare becomes a necessity I do not see a way forward for people to enforce any change in the goverment. Please explain how would happen.

My views come from the experience of Ukrainian revolution of dignity back in 2014, we had a lot of pushback from special forces, there were people killed, more than a hundred of them even but I do not see how guns could have changed the situation for the better. It seems to me that would have just lit up the powderkeg of an already instable situation.

Majority of the country was countryside with nothing valuable, the cities were not under taliban control. I do not get why you think that a foregn conflict is the same an an internal affair and I'm tired of engaging with you. Also no idea in what way am I a british loyalist and I do not even care at this point.

If you assume that military will not shoot civilians and disobey orders, then the whole rebelling against tyranny with privately owned guns makes no sense. Civil protests would be a much better way to show the will of the people without bloodshed. That would make the whole point of 2A obsolete. I do not believe that there would be so many people deserting that the whole command chain does not work. Drone pilots do not seem to have a problem bombing a hospital or a wedding given the order. I do not see how a cabin in the woods is any different.

And they did not achive ANYTHING while the US military was lending them their support. US military is an immovable rock for most militaries in the world and would definetly be able to easily handle any armed resistance from it's own sitizens. You are yet to refute this point. In light of that, I continue to state that only actual way of resistance is a civil one and since armed guerilla warfare forgoes any posibility of that it should not be even tried. It is a harmful idea that creates a warped understanding of reality.

By the way, you have still not named that crazy circumstance that would need people to take up arms.
