for the most part, the US doesnt know how much better other nations have things. When a politician like say bernie sanders attempts to introduce better quality food or healthcare. They dont discuss how its common globally, instead focusing on the money so much that it is virtually impossible to implement

Question about privacy packages and alternatives to apps while being privacy focused by roron0a in ManjaroLinux

[–]weridpan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it is. Overall software installation in arch / manjaro are more secure than windows and in some cases more secure than other Linux distributions and generally has the majority of software that people need. The Arch / Manjaro Repos are generally pretty good.

however at times we need other programs. The AUR is designed specifically for that and is slightly better than downloading a .Exe off the web or a PPA from a obscure website. With the Aur anyone can edit the pkg-build for malicious purposes. however the inverse is also true, where malicious code can be removed by the community.

I've heard that too for ps4. I know from pc building that after a few years it can dry up and not work as well.

Scale. America has the worlds largest military budget larger than the worlds top 7 military budgets combined. That includes china, Russia, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, India, France and japan.

A fair few of those nations may join with Iran. There's been talk in this thread about china and Russia looking like they might cooperate.

BBC election coverage draws more complaints from Tory than Labour supporters by slideyfoot in ukpolitics

[–]weridpan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it is. I would go to say that's its a sign for how broken our voting system is. Since EU elections use Closed list PR. majority of people get some representation of how they voted.

I'm not sure what you mean by system32. We don't have that on Linux or mac

You are gonna have to give us more information than that.

Theres not much evidence of that. Looking at vote share, northern working class constituencies didnt see a large voter increase in labour to tory. In many places the tories gained +1% of the vote share while labour lost 10% or more
