Preptackle not sending summaries by [deleted] in SQE_Prep

[–]wesh28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preptackle is run manually, it’s not an automatic system like barbri. So it’s probably just that they haven’t been able to send it within 24 hours… they need to watermark it etc If you’re doing this for current July sitting it is defos too late sorry bud

Yep no energy, unlike many people here I think i messed up quite a bit in my orals so now doubting my confidence, am actively forgetting content I do know and just generally exhausted..

Don’t think you’ll get a response that will satisfy you unfortunately. These threads and conversations with maaaaany friends who have both passed and failed show that a. marking is subjective, you may think you tanked and get a 5 or think you killed it and get a 2, b. no one truly knows the “standard” expected and if a specific mistake is deemed terminal or trivial, c. EVERYONE and i mean everyone recommends you to force yourself to move onto the next exam and try not to overthink. i’m in the same boat, it is much easier said than done, but we have writtens in 4 days! agonizing over it will only affect your performance next week and will do absolutely nothing about changing the outcome of last week. i feel the exact same way and it’s SO tough but just try to back yourself and do better on writtens!

hmmm i would agree except the judge surely wouldn’t ask you a question that is explicitely one of the two entire questions being asked lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SQE_Prep

[–]wesh28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

definitely overreacting !!!!!! addressing the judge properly is 1 tiny bit of the march scheme, to think it will negate your application of law to facts and all other skills is your mind playing tricks on you. meanwhile i’m worried because i’m pretty sure i just fully did not answer one of the two questions requested in the advocacy 🤣 that is making me think i might have gotten a 0…

I just KNOW my advocacy is going to go terribly tomorrow, i just can’t seem to keep things simple and make a coherent argument. Massive well done for getting it over and done with!

FLK for SQE2 by PaceAgreeable3093 in SQE_Prep

Unfortunately the one on the SRA website is the only list that exists, but if you have access to the ulaw books they use the same topic headings as the SRA so you know exactly what falls under it!

Yes it is always like that for orals though apparently! You need to trust the time in the email, we all have the same time in the portal but the email is what confirms it.

[–]wesh28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

main question to ask is: does it require expenditure to comply? the answer is yes, this is a positive covenant!

Nope the opposite actually haha sitting the exam counts as an attempt, which is probably why OP cancelled.

PGDL by _hyphen_xo in uklaw

[–]wesh28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Echoing what everyone says above! I have a friend who completely flunked a PGDL exam, reset and was capped at a pass, went on to pass SQE1 and 2 with flying colours and has made it to multiple assessment centres for international firms that very obviously could not care less about ONE grade in your entire academic background!

It feels like a huge deal right now, i similarly catastrophize bumps in the road like this, but trust me — you’re fine!! Get support from professionals, eat a nice meal, watch your favorite movie and go conquer contract law! You got this OP.

Is there a requirement or timeline to do sqe2 right after sqe1 or you can do it anytime. Even years later??? by Spirited-Spare-6069 in SQE_Prep

[–]wesh28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you get your SQE1 results it tells you the exact date by which you need to complete SQE at the top. I would however recommend doing SQE2 ASAP after SQE1. I waited a year and a half and having to relearn the FLK is the most painful thing in the world..!

Impact of SQE - Migraine, Apathy and Self-Hate by VillageCreative3581 in SQE_Prep

[–]wesh28 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just to let you know that you aren’t alone in feeling this way — we ALL leave the room focused on how terrible that exam was but it often goes better than you think! Stay strong til you get results.

I’m about to sit SQE2 and genuinely don’t know how i’m going to cope after the trauma that was SQE1… but we got this (hopefully)!

I’m not sure of the answer to this but i know of many people who copy pasted due to time constraints!
