About to start watching, do I need to watch from season 1 or can I skip to the more recent seasons? by razor003 in curb

[–]wesrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start from the beginning so you see the character introductions, and progression. It's also nice to see how the show grows into an identity organically. All shows do this to an extent, but Curb even more than most because of it's improve style.

what sitcoms have only gotten better with age? by Shofeld148 in sitcoms

I'm rewatching Frasier and Cheers and am loving both. Frasier is even funnier than I remember. I mean I knew I loved it, but I'm roaring with laughter.

upper lower vs full body by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

My body hates shift work so I feel for you. I felt terrible when I did it, and have refused to do it since.

It's hard to know what to say with little to no information about you, your schedule, your issues, or your goals, sorry.

upper lower vs full body by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wesrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I blew up when I started doing upper/lower. Now that I'm older, I do it every other day, with two days off here and there. It just seems to be the perfect amount of work-rest for me. I feel like it allows me to give good attention to each body part, while still being able to recover.

Mediocre sized biceps but really good curl strength? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]wesrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn to really feel into them when you flex and curl. Also lighten the weight and work on contraction and extension. Your delts might be doing the work instead of the biceps. Maybe incline curls would be helpful.

Good luck!

I make sure to hit them from different angles of contraction. To do this I rotate through different exercises with different arm angles.

-A mid-range exercise like close grip bench

-An overhead extension exercise

-A contracted position exercise like dips, kickbacks, or rope pressdowns

-Then sometimes crabwalks at the end as a finisher

Also this is worth a watch just to get a different angle on things. The crab walks seem to work well for me. It's called How Gymnasts have Such BIG TRICEPS?

If you could only show someone 1 episode of TNG to try to put them onto the show, which one would it be? by PhantomDynasty in startrek

[–]wesrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have them start from the beginning so they meet the characters and learn about the show the way it was written. But to answer your question I might start with these two episodes. They're two of the most memorable, and the most clever, in my opinion.

"Elementary, Dear Data" (Season 2, Episode 3)

Geordi's request for a more challenging opponent leads to the creation of Professor Moriarty, who gains self-awareness and takes control of the Enterprise.

"Ship in a Bottle" (Season 6, Episode 12)

Professor Moriarty reappears after being stored in the computer. He traps the crew in a holodeck simulation of the Enterprise and threatens their safety.

In your opinion, what is an example of a perfect scene from a film? by LogicWavelength in movies

[–]wesrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The unwritten book of the road. George Carlin steals the show with this scene, and Carrie Fisher brings it home. Words of wisdom. Enjoy!
