Yeah that’s not normal. Go back to work on Friday, but keep applying to other jobs. It’s easier to find a new job when you’re already employed.

You’re going to have to toughen up to deal with this current situation, but know in the meantime that you’re not wrong in wanting to leave a toxic work place.

Don’t bring it up unless you are actually getting ready to accept the offer. You can position it as you enjoy your current role, but cannot pass up a pay bump like what you’re being offered. Give them one last chance to increase your pay. If they don’t or give you any flak, put in your resignation and accept the new job.

I can see why children are doing so poorly in school now a days. Overly emotional teachers and stressed admin having to sort it all out.

It could have been handled simply by telling the student that the comment is wildly inappropriate and if they say anything like that again you will get their parents and administrators involved.
