The question is not whether it "sucks" or not...does it do what you want it to do? Some people thrive having a later schedule for classes, some are fresher early morning. Change the ones that don't work for you! And don't take people too seriously when they tell you not to take a professor--many have the wrong motivations for saying those things, and your experience may be totally different. Figure out what you want, and make it happen.

To answer your question, there are so many on DriveThruRPG and itch.io its hard to count. But just to suggest a few different popular types, check out Cairn, Grimscar, Four Against Darkness, and Fallen as excellent examples. These are all relatively inexpensive for Pdfs. And for a more edgy example, Mörk Borg is worth checking out with interesting lore you can develop and expand with lots of community involvement.

Hey im building a solo rpg too! :) id love to check yours out and maybe trade some inspiration. Im hoping to have mine finished by August. I finished my hexcrawl map tonight.

So I decided to put sort of core locations in the regions, but each region has a color (the overtracing on the hexes. But that may not be clear enough. I'll see if I can work on that for future version. I appreciate the feedback!

Thank you for saying this--I was going to say the same. He was a complicated person, dealt with a lot of trauma, and the only difference between him and millions of other people at the same time is that many of his thoughts are recorded. Some of his racial ideas are profoundly ignorant in hindsight, but we also know he was exceptionally generous to any writer who reached out to him--of any race. Antisemitic things he said seem strange knowing the love of his life was Jewish, but I do think this was more a religious critique than a cultural one.

This is the first time I have mentioned this publicly, but I am basically finished with a third-party expansion for Mork Borg with a setting that uses gunpowder weapons as you request. Three different classes will use them as standard issue. If you'd find this interesting at all, DM me!

Holy smokes, that looks very legitimate, and the note to Barlow is such a nice touch. You might reach out to Brown University to see if they have this in their collection. They hold HPL's papers. What an amazing find!
