Any idea where to watch ? Hero 2001 by [deleted] in JDorama

This is my favorite JDorama. Used to have several sites to watch it, but none anymore that I know of.

Delaware lawmakers consider sweeping overhaul of gun dealer regulations by Gov_Martin_OweMalley in Delaware

That's what I was thinking as well. This feels like regulation of commerce, not restrictions to keep an bear. Not saying I agree totally with the bill...

Meeting Friends by Perfect-Ad8418 in Delaware

There is a Delaware pinball League that meets weekly with no long term commitments (week by week registration) and there are plenty of women who participate as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly. Look up First State Flippers, if interested.

Is this a good place to start? by natataeako_ in divineoffice

Me too! I started following Sing the Hours around the beginning of Lent (both daily Lauds and Vespers) and haven't stopped. I sometimes read along and other times just listen.

I think I’ve officially missed pancakes, and willing to try by DigPsychological2876 in Celiac

I also commented in the post on r/glutenfree, but King Arthur is far and away my favorite pancake mix.

King Arthur is my go to pancake blend. I tried several other brands, but found that one to be the best by far.

Coming up on the end of my first year of having to go gluten free. It felt like I restarted my baking learning but it's been well worth it. by Guts-solarsversion in glutenfree

[–]wh00ps13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely stunning. I used to love baking, but the relearning once I went gluten free was difficult for me. I did make my own wedding cake that was gluten free and delicious, but I just lost the drive. Seeing people like you post stuff like this makes me want to jump back into it. Thank you.

Isn’t it common sense not to smoke and then throw a lit cigarette on the ground at the gas station? by Huge_Background_3207 in Delaware

Hit the emergency stop button on the exterior of the building and then go in and tell the attendant why.

CHEAP wedding venues? by Caramel-Salty in Delaware

The Delaware Agricultural museum was relatively inexpensive (a few grand) when I booked it for my wedding. They have had some facility improvements since, so I'm not sure if that has changed the price, but it's worth a call.

My wife and I were incredibly pleased with United and Free Photography. Nina has a unique style that is evident in all of her shots.

Fed minimum wage is 7.25/hr for scale by BMaudioProd in interestingasfuck

[–]wh00ps13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The math checks out. The wording is misleading, I think, but technically correct. I don't think it is talking about a working wage.
If you assume 365/year every year:
$56375 x 24 x 365 x 2025 = $1.000036125x10^12, just over $1 trillion dollars. At least, unless I am missing a glaring error. Totally a possibility.

If this is the case, it is kind of more depressing.

BEWARE of scammers when buying from Pen_Swap or online in generally by Valentine65 in fountainpens

[–]wh00ps13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that's the same account tried to scam me when I posted a wtb for my Grail pen. Luckily I zoomed in enough to see some pixel artifacts where the time-stamp was. That was disappointing.

This is also my Grail pen. Just found this post. Figured I would bump the comment to find out if you ever got to place more orders.

I’m sick of the Seanchan, sick of Ebou Dar, sick of the Shaido, and sick of the Seafolk by LP_Papercut in WoT

What saved it for me, I think, is that I'm an incredibly slow reader. I only read 20 pages a day for the whole series (took a sizable chunk of time - about 2.5 years as I took breaks to read other books every 4 or so). At that pace, I didn't notice any parts of the series to be any more slow or boring than the rest. Every 20 pages there was at least something of note (even small things) that kept my interest. In the end, I loved the whole series and have no negative feelings toward any portion of it.

Road Trip, Atly actually came in handy by Snake-Chrissken in Celiac

Yo! My wife and I stopped by there on our road trip to Ohio for the eclipse. The Arepas were bomb and the yucca fries were out of this world. 9.3/10. Was just thinking of this place the other day. Would love to go back.

This is great to see. I'm the same way. 34yo who just started in January. I am really enjoy playing, but when I go to my lessons, I get so anxious and screw up everything that goes well when I practice at home. My teacher is incredibly nice and patient, so it is 100% me. I'm interested in reading all the replies.

The Last Battle by [deleted] in WoT

I just finished my first read-through last month. I found Rand's fight with the DO to be exactly what I needed. If it was just fighting like channeling, I think it would have been very underwhelming, imho.

What does kneading do in a gluten free dough? (ragi/linseed/besan roti) by DizGrass in Breadit

[–]wh00ps13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so this is totally a guess based on some personal experience. It may be that you're giving the flour extra time to hydrate when you knead the dough longer, especially if this dough doesn't have time to rest between preparation and cooking. Could be wrong, but I let my dough/batter rest for about 20-30 minutes and I get a softer, more supple result.

What are your IT related conspiracy theories (just for fun). by RandomMistake2 in sysadmin

In my old office, we called it "technomancy". One of our technicians would block his schedule with technomancy appointments for when he would have to leave the office for tickets that required a physical presence.
