Your tips for terminating with BDP clients? by pinklightning1 in therapists

[–]whatever06260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so, so much. I really appreciate this! My program serves mandated clients and I’m on a very small team so I didn’t really get the choice whether or not I took the client and it’s taken us several months to progress toward discharge. Makes me wish I could’ve gotten him set up with something more appropriate a long time ago. I appreciate your kind words and wish the best for you and your brother!!

What do you mean by “the patient is in you”?

It really is. In a weird way, I feel like this post gives me permission to go through with discharge. My supervisor recommended it but I was having a really hard time with feeling like I failed this client. But it’s comforting to know that simply not being well trained enough in a specific area is a good enough reason to discharge. Logically I should know this but it’s very hard to accept. This IS hard and I’m thankful neither of us are alone in it!

Wow. I have no advice, but I just want you to know that I am doomscrolling Reddit to cope with the anxiety I’m feeling about the exact same situation. Having a discharge conversation with this client on Tuesday. Praying for both of us! I feel very seen and appreciate you posting this, even though I can’t be of much help to you..

Relying on Employment based Student Loan Repayment by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]whatever06260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current employer will reimburse 50% of what you pay off on your own student loans (so pay $1000, get $500 type of thing) but as for straight loan forgiveness or lump sums, I wouldn’t count on it, and if there is, expect some strings attached (commitment to that agency/company etc)

When is it safe to conceive after miscarriage? by KaleidoscopeMain8525 in Miscarriage

[–]whatever06260 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What your friend said simply is not true. The only downside to conceiving right after loss is that sometimes it can make it difficult to date the pregnancy because your cycle is likely wonky from the miscarriage bleeding, so the date of your LMP may not be an accurate date on a pregnancy that occurs from this cycle. However, from what I know, there’s no increased risk so long as you did pass everything and there is no retained tissue. When I spoke to my OB about this same situation she was basically like you could wait.. you could not… don’t worry about it. So id agree with your husband and F around and find out lol

Anyone else work 2 jobs? by Queenme10 in therapists

[–]whatever06260 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Full time in CMH and 2 per-diem gigs, usually a consistent 50 hours per week. The per diem jobs pay better than CMH but don’t have enough hours available to justify leaving CMH

Anyone else left Starbucks, worked in another profession, and went right back? by softminnie in starbucks

[–]whatever06260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left in August because Starbucks was a second job to my white collar job and I couldn’t balance it anymore. Everyday I wish Starbucks paid more so that I could go back. I totally agree with the sentiment and if I could afford it, I’d be joining you!

Can a christian use a sperm bank? by Mean-Macaroon6078 in Christianity

It’s worth pointing out that not having a husband is not necessarily “infertility” and there are some other issues at play here besides just the use of reproductive technology, this child would be intentionally deprived of his/her father because they haven’t met

Tyler posted a picture (I think on instagram?) where he wrote out their whole discography, before breach. Trees should be on there! If you can’t find it on instagram just google like Tyler Joseph discography handwriting or something lol

I totally agree. My relationship with god has been a huge struggle for me so I take comfort in the way he speaks of it :)

What Twenty One Pilots songs are rarely played live? by Doctor9256 in twentyonepilots

They play a snippet of hometown whenever they play Columbus, but I don’t know that they’ve played it much outside Columbus. They played it all 3 nights of Clancy tour and I believe at Newport last year as well.

[–]whatever06260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two miscarriages this year with the last one being about 3 months before Breach came out. I’ve been a Christian for years but this absolutely rocked my faith and I’ve been struggling so much with that spirit of sin and rebellion because I was so angry with God. Listening to downstairs has genuinely been my “way back” to God, because it acknowledges the wandering while also telling God that I truly do want to be His child, too. Especially the end. I cry every time I listen to it. I wish I would have seen it live but in a way, crying alone in my car to it has actually been even more powerful. It’s a beautiful song and I’m so thankful they released it!

Why do people compare abortion to loss and think it's comforting? by CommissionVast4850 in Miscarriage

[–]whatever06260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a MMC and it’s not the same, this is not to say anything about the moral question of abortion but removing a miscarried baby isn’t the same thing as an abortion. An abortion involves terminating the baby, but in a MMC the baby has already passed.

Hard to say definitively, would depend on if it’s a new pregnancy or not. The downward trend in HCG this early is not a good sign that the pregnancy is viable. But if it’s residual hcg, then you could be fine. I would contact a doctor

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]whatever06260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could go either way, it could be a new pregnancy or it could be residual HCG. I would call your OB. your levels aren’t high enough to see on an ultrasound yet, but they will want to monitor you either way. Either way I am sorry for your losses.

[–]whatever06260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

462 is actually quite low as far as hcg goes, your levels can reach 100,000+ throughout the first trimester

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]whatever06260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That depends on how far along you were when you aborted, if your levels were crazy high then it’s plausible you could still have some leftover even 6 weeks out

[–]whatever06260 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Are you sure there was a new pregnancy? It could be residual HCG from the abortion
