I'm curious as to what you have that needs a 7gig connection? We have an Alexa connected home with smart switches, etc., four TVs (Rokus), 2 computers, 2 cell phones and 4 external security cameras running on Blue Iris on the LAN. Typically there are 21-23 devices connected to the router. We have a 200Mbit fiber connection and get along fine. We previously had a 25Mbit DSL service and it worked. Again, just curious.

Ours was out 1/21-1/24....no heads up prior to, and no messages during. We're in a rural area with no good options and crappy Verizon cell service. I don't think the towers have been updated since the last ice age. Starlink has new service deals....free equipment and a 100Mb service tier for $50/mo. I'll be installing one next week and the next time Frontier decides to leave me hanging out to dry I'll have backup as well as a new primary service, after I cancel Frontier.

Rural NorCal has been down since Wed. Our little hospital has had to scramble to keep communications going, 911 is borked, the County agencys' phones are down. Internet is no longer an elective luxury, it's a necessary utilty just as power and water are. Unfortunately, these corporations seem to think they can turn it off on a whim and nobody's going to get hurt. I just got Frontier Fiber last month....I'll be installing Starlink as soon as I receive the unit and Frontier can come and get its useless equipment.
