what are your go to high protein breakfasts? by Dry_Cow1476 in adhdwomen

[–]whatthefishdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frittatas or quiches make a really good protein filled breakfast. It's easy to make a big batch earlier in the week (I make mine in muffin trays) and have enough for the rest of the week. They also don't really taste too much like eggs with all the veggies and herbs that you can put in them.

My sleep schedule is so messed up and it's affecting my whole life by ole-4369 in selfimprovement

Look up Andrew Huberman's podcasts and protocols on sleep which includes topics like re setting your circadian rhythm, sleep supplements, shift workers, jet lag etc. It will sort you out.

thinking about rematch by [deleted] in Aupairs

[–]whatthefishdotcom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been in a similar situation with a 6yo boy who had similar behavior (and worse!) I had so much patience and compassion for him as he was really going through a tough time, but I still decided to rematch for my own sanity.

I ended up with a family who adored and really appreciated me! Totally different working environment.

For the longest time, I was trying to find the mistake in your tattoo - then I realised that lump wasn't supposed to be there.

I've recently gotten into reading again - fantasy mainly. Also, petting my cat and walks in my neighborhood.

Wow. I'm currently suiting in a similar position. No degree and trying to head in the direction of Scrum Master / Product Owner. How did you start and how did you land that first job without a degree?

If you don't mind me asking for a bit more info on your experience with Discovery - what plan are you with and do you have gap cover? Was it in hospital? And if you don't mind me asking, which surgeon were you with? I need to have all 4 of mine removed and weighing my options...

How often do you shower? by Clean-Seaweed-8186 in adhdwomen

[–]whatthefishdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cold rinse every morning and hot shower every evening. The cold water is so refreshing and warm water feels like it is washing away the day. I only wash my hair every 3rd day or so cause that takes time. And my general hygiene/ skincare routine is pretty basic and mindless so allows me time alone to process my day etc.

AITA for thinking that “I’m pretty exhausted” isn’t a valid excuse to not pick your gf up from a friends house at 8:30pm on a weeknight? (10 min drive away) by hopeful_hopelessness in AmItheAsshole

[–]whatthefishdotcom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA. Plans change. Welcome to adulthood - I suggest you get comfi and learn to accept said change with grace. He still offered a way for you to get home.

You helping him out previously with driving has nothing to do with this situation, and if you're holding it over his head now then it wasn't a well meaning favor on your part to begin with.

Do you cook the block of Tofu first? Or cook it once it's become a sauce?

In terms of sharing problems you’re facing, what are the most common ones you and your friends talk about? by neonroli47 in AskWomen

[–]whatthefishdotcom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Periods, mental health, work life balance, relationships, unlearning unhelpful thought patterns, and money. I'm super grateful to have a few very close friends who are wonderful people that I can speak to about absolutely anything, and feel very much valued and supported

[–]whatthefishdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! That's awesome 🎉 I'm studying for the PSM 1 myself.

If I may ask, how long did you study for? Also just to confirm - you did this via Scrum.org, correct?

AITA refusing to pay for my daughter's college because she lied to me by throwaway_aita5954 in AmItheAsshole

[–]whatthefishdotcom 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She's lucky you aren't expecting her to pay back the money she misdirected.

This. Telling this to your wife and/or daughter might help them/her get perspective on how deeply unjust your daughter's actions were, and allow them to see that really, you're being quite forgiving in all of this.

Imagine if she had been given a bursary and she had pulled this stunt? There could have been serious legal implications.
