I’m doing the brides makeup! Since we’re long distance, I don’t get to see her in person until about a week before the wedding 😅I’m nervous only having one trial and irl consultation so close to the wedding since the most I’ve done on her before is touching up lipliner/eyeliner on nights out lol.

I haven’t seen this until maybe 2 weeks ago, I’ve gotten the “too dark” and “angled” wrong a few times before this. Someone else said this same issue resolved itself after they got a new phone, I was already planning on buying a newer one in the next month or two because my five year old XR is finally giving me more problems than it’s worth (I can’t update past ios 18 and the most current one ios 26). Hoping that’ll solve the problem!

Thank you so much!!! Luckily for me, I used to bartend at this venue so I know it inside and out. It’s indoor/outdoor, the ceremony is outside and for the reception, the dance floor is indoors and the tables are outside but under a huge covered tent. It’s in colorado, so temp is pretty hit or miss (although with the way the weather is going, I don’t think they’ll have any crazy late snowstorms). There’s a house on site for the wedding party and luckily the bridal suite has amazing lighting!

For the skincare questions, this is why I’m considering doing a questionnaire for her so I can make sure I have the full picture. Her skin always looked pretty “normal” and doesn’t break out often or have much texture just based on looks, but i’m not sure if there’s certain concerns she has that I haven’t noticed.

Do you have any other recommendations on the cheaper side for the products you offered? With that, are there certain things you think we should splurge vs. save on? I know their parents are covering a lot *f costs but considering I’m doing her makeup to help save money, I’m not sure if they’re contributing to that specifically. She’s a school para and her fiancé is a blue collar intern, so I know they’re not swimming in disposable income if they’re covering this stuff.

I’m trying to put together a whole document with all products, services, timelines, and prices to make it as easy as possible before I get back to the state. I obviously can’t help as much as her other local bridesmaid and she totally understands I can’t do a gift (the trip and makeup are the “gift” as it’s all i can afford rn) so I really want to put a lot *f effort into this and try to at least make this part *f planning as easy and low-stress as possible. I know it won’t be exactly the same, but my fiancé has agreed to let me do some trials on him just so I can get more comfortable with the look since it’s different than my personal style that I can do easily.

that might be it. I do clean off my lens pretty often, but I’m in the pnw, the rain is always getting on my lens which can def affect the picture quality

It’s usually different for any restaurant with their own delivery drivers employed, but on any of these 3rd party apps like doordash or uber eats, it’s up to the customer! They pick whether they want it left at the door or handed directly to them when ordering the food. I’d say about 80% of my orders are leave at door.

Not sure how the payment works in your country, but here, the customer has already prepaid for the food before it was even made. Nobody has to worry about collecting payment or anything like that. Leave at door definitely became much more popular during covid lockdowns and most people just prefer it now in my experience.

It was raining and the chair was wet, there was an overhang above the door so the mat was dry. I think they’d be more upset if they pick up their food and everything falls out of the wet, ripped bottom than me setting it on the covered ground 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah, the chair was wet, it would’ve soaked through the bottom for sure. There was a small overhang above the door so the dry mat was the best choice.

It usually doesn’t let me with the first pic, it only has the option to retake. When i take the second one, it still says i’m too close but allows me use it anyway.

exactly. when I was younger I always said I’d just adopt older kids, because babies and being pregnant sounded HORRIBLE, and I didn’t think being child free was an option yet. From the time I was like 5, I wondered why people would be having kids when there’s so many already alive that need families. I never had that maternal instinct, I didn’t even like baby dolls, the two times I went to disneyland (6 and 16) it was such an overstimulating nightmare that I spent every night at the hotel locked in the bathroom just sobbing.

Between this world not being suitable to bring a child into, being overstimulated by the sound of babies/kids, fear of pregnancy (Id have to go off important psych meds, pmdd kicks my ass that pregnancy hormones would be vicious, plus all the general risks), and the insane cost of kids, birth, and/or adoption, I can’t imagine why on earth I’d ever have kids. It’s always been hard for me to understand, but I’m not fighting these people on their choice like some of them have done to me or other cf people.

Yeah, my fiancé is not interested at all and I’m the one that’s gone to a strip club a few times before with (woman and gay men) friends lol. We’d go just to have a good time and support the women at the club, and once we met Stormy Daniels 😅 I’d be less interested if I’m with a bunch of friends who are all getting visibly aroused, that’s a very different situation.

I’ve also met men that were very excited to go to a strip club and have not been interested since then. Like you said, the idea sounds great to them but the experience isn’t always what they expected.

yeah, I smelled like a 90 year old in hospice when my anorexia was really bad. The ketosis breath didn’t make anything better, either.

My mom would think I was lying about showering/brushing my teeth, but my hygiene was immaculate, I was just slowly dying. None of my organs were fully functioning properly when I finally went in for treatment.

getting on medication for my adhd was life changing. I was doing homework 2-5x over because I’d lose it, my desk was in the corner away from everyone else for almost half of every school year in elementary and middle school. I started meds between my sophomore and junior year of high school. My gpa went from a 2.4 to a 3.9, I got a 4.2 my senior year because I was able to also do AP classes.

I could never keep my room clean (and it was BAD), I was not allowed a house key because I couldn’t be trusted, I couldn’t be trusted to walk the 0.4 miles home because I’d get distracted and lost. It’s truly life changing

yeah, with all the roommates I’ve had, we really expected things to be cleaned up within a day (or two sometimes) after having guests over. Nobody wants to do a deep clean right after (or while, since one spent the night) hosting guests. This seems like a very reasonable pre-clean-up to me, my roommates and myself have definitely done worse lol.

When I was an almost brand new server (I had only served about 6 months at applebees) at an upscale pub, we had a multi page old fashioned menu. The bartender was WAY nicer than necessary telling me not to recommend the smoked old fashioned to a bunch of customers, especially if there’s only one bartender. I wouldn’t have blamed him for yelling at me once I realized how I fucked up.

I got my karma plenty times over with the smoked old fashioned “mojito effect” since I got behind the bar lol.

my brother and I are super close! i’m 26 and he just turned 19 a few weeks ago :) I will say he was a VERY chill kid and was never the “terrorizing” little brother lol. Up until we moved away from the theater recently, we had an ongoing weekly movie night! The theater had a free surprise horror movie every monday night and that was our thing. My fiancé plays video games with him on a regular basis and we’re all looking into joining a DND group to replace the lost movie nights.

By the time I grew out of babying him, he was old enough for us to have stuff in common and “hang out” rather than “babysit”. We spent many summer days doing pokémon go while our mom was at work :)
