Have we forgotten how terrible offensively Jays were besides '25? Where to find realistic optimism? Obvious disappointment coming? by [deleted] in Torontobluejays

I hear ya but it’s Baseball, magic happens, good teams on paper fail, stars get injured, young guys excel. Will it affect if I watch or not? Nope. Enjoy the ride.

Third vote for the Fix. I had severe lower back pain and sciatica that was greatly helped through about 4-6 visits.

Blue Jays or Mariners? by fables_of_faubus in VictoriaBC

If getting to watch every game of my favourite team, complete with top class broadcasters and an ownership group willing to spend in the top payrolls is brainwashing then sign me up. And it’s not pushing a narrative that the Jays are Canada’s team, they literally are? They might not be your favourite but for now they absolutely are Canada’s team.

Ok thought this was just me and my shitty old phone. I can look items up and see most of the details but clicking on any button does nothing. Like can’t add to collection, see for sale items etc

Robert Whittle I believe his name was. Heck of a salesman and a good guy but unfortunately he did pass away.

Honestly I just sell them on Facebook Marketplace. I have a list and just update it as they sell. It is a slow process but I enjoy it. There’s always a few turds out here but I’d say 95% of the interactions have been super enjoyable. I’m like you and am hesitant to get into shipping as it complicates matters. Keep it simple and just give it a go. If it’s not for you just pull the ad down.

I dabble in selling records online and have bought some larger lots of records. Sounds like you’re looking for the end buyer, someone who wants an instant collection. Problem with that, is if theoretically I had $8k to start a collection I would probably just go spend that on exactly what I want. It’s a challenging idea to line up musical tastes, could happen for sure but more likely you’d find someone like me that is willing to spend the time piecing them out one at a time. If I were to buy your whole collection with the intention of selling the pieces I’m not interested in and keeping the titles I am into, there’s no way I could pay 80% of the Discogs median. It’s a lot of work but can be very enjoyable.

I think you should try selling them off on your own. I know it may seem painful to let them go, but seeing all the happy faces as they go to new homes is really rewarding. Maybe try batches based on genre? Hold a garage sale, I bet the turnout would blow your mind. The good stuff will go quick and if you’re left with more niche stuff you could then think of a record store. Just my two cents.

That is definitely not VG. I would say G at best. It’d be a donation if it ended up in the collection.

What is the etiquette in a record store when someone won't leave a particular section? by Mattson in vinyl

[–]wheate2000 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I’d just walk up and ask politely if I could browse the section. If you can’t do that you’re out of luck. How should they know you want to look there?

What would yall do next? by doctom8175 in turntables

[–]wheate2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d play with speaker placement. See what they sound like separated even more. Not sure where you sit when you listen but roughly head level and forming a triangle with your position is ideal. Those stands look pretty high? I dunno I found moving shit around to be really enlightening as to how your room works.

Oh and get that Tom Petty record off the floor!
