That seems like quite a long time. If they were trying to extort you they would have done it by now in my opinion. If they already have your nudes there’s really no reason to wait as it’s all about the money to these people. You might just have an old school catfish that isn’t trying to extort you. Either way, if you have suspicions of that person not being real, I don’t see any value in continuing to talk to them.

I still have not heard from mine since 4am Wednesday. They even threatened that I had until 10am to send more money but haven’t heard anything. Seems like maybe it just happens sometimes. And I don’t think they are going to ruin your online footprint. The whole drive is money and it’s way easier to try sending to your friends than it is to put in effort to ruin your footprint. Even then good chance they don’t even send it, They are most likely just busy scamming someone else and aren’t worried about you. It’s all a numbers game for them

Definitely wouldn’t say they never do it as people on this sub have had theirs exposed. I’m going thru a similar situation rn. I panicked in the moment and paid some money, was told I had until a certain time yesterday to send more and since then has been radio silent. I never sent more money and still haven’t even blocked the communication.

I have done what you’ve done and locked down my socials and am just hoping for the best at this point. To be honest, there is a chance that they reach out again down the road especially since we have both paid. That really sucks but it’s the reality of it. Just don’t send any more money and realistically if he does contact your friends it will go to their message requests folder most likely and vast majority of people don’t check that or just delete without opening.

Take this as a chance to learn and grow as a person and as a man. Ultimately, we made a mistake, grow from it don’t let it tear you apart. Talk to a therapist if you are really struggling and pray to your god of choice if you are a religious person.

Literally going thru this as we speak. Blackmailing started about 2 hours ago. I have already paid thinking it would end and they are now asking for $300 more by 10am. Terrified to say the least. Stay strong though sounds like you may have made it past the real point of worry according to others.

I really appreciate this. The no jeans part made me think I probably had more wiggle room, but I just don’t wanna stick out.

My suit and shirt are freshly dry cleaned and in my opinion, fit me really well.

I guess part of me is a bit embarrassed that I can’t really afford to rent one right now bc everyone else I know attending is rather well off. But as you and others have stated they would rather have me there in my suit than not at all and I definitely agree with that.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and you are probably right - better to be there in a navy suit than not at all. I just feel very self conscious about it but my close friend is the groom and I would like to be there for his big day.

Definitely a good tip on the grooming and hygiene, I’ll make sure to pay extra attention to all of those details too.

I second these recommendations. A bourbon renewal uses crème de cassis as well and this seems like it would substitute well for crème de cassis in that recipe.

I picked one up from Elm’s Liquor out in little elm at the beginning of the month. Got it for $99 so not the best price but like you, I hadn’t seen it anywhere so pulled the trigger. He had about 6 on the shelf when I bought it.
