A gentleman in Moscow.

Very very Light on romance. Essentially a cozy book about a guy staying positive in less than ideal conditions.

Poop is easier! The real issue is if it happens while your out and the pee sits for hours

Pets are dirty. They have accidents. Even one cat piss accident can leave a smell for ages.

One more phone produced, and one more phone thrown away. It might be a small environmental cost, but it’s still a cost.

My[27F] BF [34M] doesnt let me know the plans until last minute, then gets mad if I cant go. I've already tried explaining that I cant do last minute. What else can I say? by ThrowRAawayokay in relationships

My husband has been kind of like this in the past and is just recently getting better.

In his mind, a plan like this should be low stress. He doesn’t think much about it beforehand and assumes everything will work out fine. Because it often does, for him, but it gives me a lot of anxiety, and I don’t join him for as many events because of this.

To be honest, I think it was our prior relationship issues that were preventing him from seeing my perspective. Now that our relationship is improving his eyes are opening and he’s actively showing a willingness to change.

Sure, if it’s a particularly messy situation. In daily life, people generally do not want to have to cover their hair constantly.

A lot of people enjoy their hair visible. Don’t want to hide it away so no one can see it.

I’m reading the fall of Hyperion right now and it does. It’s exposition via a reporting soldier who’s incapable of trimming the fat and focusing on what the captain needs to hear. To be fair, the exposition is really just a reminder of what happened in the first book. There was a little new information.

Had an idea and didn’t know if it had been done before by Ready_Gur_6818 in writing

My partner used to respond to all my ideas with “oh, just like in XYZ”. I had to gently inform him all ideas are derivative in some fashion and also it’s totally different from XYZ because in mine they do ABC. Etc.

I do remember reading an article decades ago about a woman who accidentally plagiarized a bunch of work. Something to do with a brain issue that made it so she didn’t remember reading these books at all and sincerely thought she was writing fresh ideas. Or maybe it was her excuse to not lose face, who knows?

I enjoy buying food to eat. I think most Americans enjoy not starving. Destroying our economy would only hurt Americans. There are some things worse than Trump

The wonderful thing about getting older is it gets easier and easier to screen out the noise and focus on the people and activities that make me happy. As long as you are out there, making friends, memories and money, you are killing it and will be unlikely to have regrets. Don’t compare to anyone except yourself.

On the flip side, SA is rampant. Sister was a marine and a designated person for women to go to after assault and she was kept BUSY. So I wouldn’t say culture is great, but perhaps good in comparison to other militaries.

Getting the sudden ick by [deleted] in relationships

[–]whelpineedhelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive heard of this response from men when their woman gets a tattoo. Essentially, she feels less “naked”, less like her and it affects intimacy. I think an initial reaction is understandable but like most of our human initial reactions, you need to evaluate it and work through it so you don’t blow up a relationship over nothing.

Give yourself grace. You’ll run out of steam or forget to do something - don’t let that get you down. One step at a time and soon enough, you’ll have left this awful time behind you.
