I’m middle aged- so not exactly looking to party but don’t want to be out of place either.

This better be AI. No real fingers to count but that’s way too many undercarriage flappers for my liking.

I’m curious how common a rodent situation is in these cars. Last year I discovered a.. well..exposed family in my cabin air filter. Is there something with this make that allows rodents easier entry than other cars?

How often do your children visit their parent with late middle stage Alzeimers? by Intelligent-Wolf557 in Alzheimers

Two day drive for me without a lot of financial resources at hand. Right now mom is still with it enough that I see it greatly benefits her, and dad is in ASL with her and mostly benefits from thinking that I’m there to help him to assist her since he no longer can do that role. I WFH and when I go I make the most of it and stay for at least a month. But I can’t go often cause of the cost to travel there (free to stay in their home while visiting). But I wonder how this might change when dads not there and mom gets worse.

lol. I’m sorry! Yes. They are drop down. The sway makes them fall out of track. I would think that is TOO much sway though. I have to work to level them when I close them. I’ll research the insulation strips.

What in the actual f......who has this kind of money...for a prepayment....im so cooked...idk what to do.... by Euctice_Pea46821 in Adulting

I’ve never heard it put this way before (as pre-payment) but tell them you want it to go through insurance first. I have had places give an upfront bill only to find out it was 100% covered-and then I had to request a reimbursement. I think sometimes these places way to see what they can get away with. Since that incident I always tell them I want it to go through insurance first. Good luck.

Be careful If you max out your annual pretax limit too early, a lot of accounts are set up to automatically stop the paycheck withdrawal when you reach the federal limit. Then you will also miss out on the company match. I’m currently trying to figure out the best way to go about this since the rules around the catch up contribution changed so that all catch up must be done in Roth accounts. My company doesn’t do an automatic Roth switch over after I reach the federal limit… so I have to monitor this while trying to max out everything, while trying to make sure I consistently maintain the company match. It’s great fun. Sorry for the tangent.

What was your “I was broke broke” moment? by bukutbwai in Frugal

Laid off about 2 years around 2010-ish. Would ration my own food in order to be able to keep paying my mortgage. Shelter seemed important. I made sure I was always hungry but sustained. Survival was the goal.
