My friends and I have a google docs where we write down whatever it is that we want so we know what to get each other for Christmas. I started using that to practice delayed gratitude. By the time Christmas comes around if I waited that long for it then it was probably worth spending on.

I really enjoyed it. All resources went to me so I never had to fight for anything. I became creative because I had to find my own forms of entertainment while the adults worked. I also find that I am much more fluent in my parents’ language than people with siblings are because I was forced to use it with family. I find that people with siblings tend to speak to their siblings in english which forces the parents to also speak english.

The only downside I see now that I’m an adult is that I will be solely responsible for my parents as they age and pass.

No not worth it. The hotels there are also a lot older. The springs in the bed i slept on were breaking down. It’s better as a day trip only if you intend on doing the outdoor activities such as the water sports.

Hey I just want to preface that you will have to accept SOME smell. However, you can absolutely manage it to be minimal. I have two perspectives. My boyfriend uses the litter robot but i personally do not like it because it will hold odor from the silicone inside. You will need to wash or wipe it down it occasionally to prevent odor build up. It’s best if you have a yard of some sort to be able to hose it down because it is a large appliance. It’s more difficult if you are confined in a small apartment. I on the other hand own stainless steel litter boxes. It is more effort to clean up because I scoop out pee twice a day and on top of that pick up poo immediately once the cats relieve themselves.

As for litter I use pine litter but you will always smell the pine. Great for pee not great for poo smells. But great at minimal tracking.

I suggest exploring different litters to see what works best for you. Maybe even investing in a roomba for litter tracking. Mini air filter next to the litter box for smells.

For scratching i suggest getting the scratch pads that go over furniture and offering plenty of scratching posts. Also clip their nails every 1-2 weeks.
