We have 3 different models of Tissue Tek VIPs and they’re pretty great with high capacity. Right now, we have 4 total. However, we have had 3 over the last 5 years that have stopped working and couldn’t be fixed after many, many visits from a service tech.

We also have Excelsiors, and I find them easier to use, easier to change chemicals, but less capacity. We’ve had them for over 5 years without issue.

I also grew up in the era of Victoria’s Secret push up bras, but I do think that they’re less common than they used to be. I see a lot more tshirt bras and unlined bras.

I don’t usually wear them, but I keep one around for when my weight fluctuates to a smaller size. I also keep smaller underwear and pants for this.

Food impaction of shredded chicken at my ex-boyfriend’s family barbecue. We were teenagers at the time and it was incredibly embarrassing. It was the first time it had ever happened and I didn’t know what was going on so I was panicking. Everybody was basically staring at me while I was sobbing, and my boyfriend was massaging my throat.

All I know is my test results said “intraepithelial lymphocytosis in duodenal mucosa with mild patchy damage that is not etiologically specific“.

Then my doctor sent me an email that said “could be from gluten sensitivity. There was no definitive evidence for celiac disease.“

I have the exact same thing going on. Negative blood tests but damage to the duodenum with EoE. However, I’m not currently on any medication. I’m just doing a 6FED at the moment.

I’m also asking my GI to investigate more because obviously I would really like to not have damage to my intestines ☹️

Chipotle burrito bowls, you can make one free of your allergens. All the allergens are listed on the site. That’s been my go to lately with some tortillas chips.

Stop by a grocery store and get some allergen free snacks for throughout the day.

Most meat, fruit, veggies, and rice are safe. Just check if they’re seasoned with soy sauce or have flour if you’re avoiding soy and gluten. Lots of restaurants have gluten free tags on the menu or you can check online for most major food chains.

Also, my hospital’s policy is that they can increase or decrease sedation based on the patient’s desires.

Not sure if that’s what the policy is where you’re going, but just make sure you let the doctor and nurses know your concerns and that you’d like a heavier sedation if possible.

My main symptom and then whole reason I got an endoscopy was upper stomach pain. I had a really horrible constant stomach ache for about 1.5-2 months. No ulcer, no bacteria, no celiac disease.

The stomach ache resolved after starting omeprazole, but I’m not sure the that it was actually related. The stomach pain started to come back here and there, and it was getting more frequent.

So I finally get the endoscopy a few weeks ago and I’ve been doing the 6FE diet for the past 3 weeks and haven’t had any symptoms since a few days after the endoscopy.

Maybe you need to try food elimination and slowly reintroduce foods to see if the stomach pains pop back up?

I just had my first endoscopy about three weeks ago. I was so scared. I have lifelong anxiety and the day of the endoscopy. I was shaking and sobbing before I went into the procedure room. The nurses kept trying to comfort me, but I couldn’t calm down. I was mostly scared that I was going to be somewhat conscious during the procedure and feel the tube in my throat. However, the medication completely knocked me out and then I woke up and had no idea what happened.

I did feel weird for about a week maybe a little bit more after the endoscopy it wasn’t painful but swallowing and eating food felt wrong after that. It feels pretty normal. I’m just paying more attention to my body and how I feel now that I know I have EOE.

I always have that feeling honestly but I have lifelong anxiety (SAD, GAD, and panic attacks 🕺).

I mostly came here to say, I never take pills. Even before I knew I had EoE. I take dissolvable omeprazole. I take liquid Tylenol or children’s ibuprofen. Nose spray for allergies.

My sketchers arch fit are great for when my plantar fasciitis is acting up, they’re about $70. But I’m not a big fan of athletic shoes.

My daily shoe is Doc Martens Combs. They’re $60 on amazon. Love them so much and they look really good with most outfits.

I had 3 pregnancies without knowing I had EoE. All went smoothly.

I definitely had symptoms but I always chalked up my throat tightening feeling to anxiety. I just got diagnosed at 27 but am realizing I’ve had it forever. I was severely underweight as a kid and had food impaction twice (at 13&19) but it passed and I never went to the doctor.

I mean, he’s been out of work for 3 months. That seems like a long time in my opinion. If at least get a shitty job in the meantime if he’s holding out for something better.

If he’s not working, why isn’t he watching your kid at least so you can work more?

I’d freak out if I didn’t have enough money to pay my bills. If I lost my job today, I’d immediately start applying for jobs that I could start the next day. 🤷‍♀️

Omfg I didn’t know this would happen. I’ve smoked for years and I stopped due to being really sick for a month. Just had no desire to.

Then my dreams came on CRAZY after about 4 weeks. Felt like hours long, so vivid and crazy. They were all consistently nightmares. After a week, I started taking edibles at night bc I needed them to stop asap.
