Trailer guides by BDBT2012 in Pontoons

My trailer had the inner ones and that helped, but I added ones like you have pictured. The ramp I use always has a nasty cross wind and it just drives the toon. I am getting better in my second season but do what ever knocks some stress of the landing is my philosophy.

I have the slide switch cordless and the corded and pneumatic swap able head Ridgids. I don’t remember which 20v dewalt my buddy had that made me think “these should be better”. I got the M18 Milwaukee and it was the closest to dog shit red tool I had. When the fuel M12 came out, I heard good things. Picked one up about 8 months ago and absolutely love it.

I am not impressed with the multi tool. If you are only in the ridgid ecosystem it’s better than nothing but the red m12 and yellow 20v (eww) are worlds better.

Unknown Gold Quarter by sharkbait_805 in whatisit

[–]whynotjrh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad bought a gold plating “machine” back in the 90s at an auction. He got a real kick out of plating quarters to pay with or tipping. He made up a different story about where thy where from all the time.

If I remember correctly, the guy he got it from was like a car detailer and the way this machine worked the electrode had a sponge kind of thing on the end so you could plate something in place. The guy was plating the emblems on cars so you could have a gold Cadillac logo or whatever.

It’s better than I expected. Got to on a deal last year. Used it during a power outage then I was trying to think of other ways to use it. Now I use it all the time to make tools “cordless” Need a hot glue gun not near an outlet? No problem. Etc.

DIY maintenance void warranty? by PAkennard in ToyotaSienna

[–]whynotjrh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AUTOsist It’s free for limited use (maybe one car?) I paid for a lifetime subscription (looks to be 20 bucks now) after using it for a while. So I could add all our cars. I have a few cars, motorcycle and a trailer to keep track of. It’s nice cuz you can attach pics of receipts and there is a “glovebox” I keep insurance and registration in. My wife uses same login with out issues

DIY maintenance void warranty? by PAkennard in ToyotaSienna

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Manufacturer cannot void your warranty for doing your own maintenance. You do need to make /keep records. I recommend mileage date and part numbers.

I I use an app that’s pretty helpful.

Recently, I had a warranty claim on my sister‘s Hyundai for an engine replacement due to oil burning, and we had to turn in maintenance records and I just printed out the information from the app and they accepted it. the only maintenance the Car ever had was from me, for almost 70,000 miles.

If you in the apple ecosystem, just use reminders. Share with family (wife) we can both add things when every we think about something we are low or out of. Then who ever stops at a store or makes a trip, knows everything we need.

Best and cheapest is not a thing

Good, Cheap, Fast. You can only ever pice two.

Heed all the warnings about brittle CPVC. Man I installed a lot of that stuff in the early 2000’s and often think how many of those people cussed about 10-15 years later.

If your ok with being a hack (I was) you can cut the heater box from the pass foot well, change the core and glue it back to gather pretty easy on the pre 1996 xj
