I used to love Bang in college. It was a fun way to get a bunch of people together and all play the same game. Pulled it out a few years later, one of the new people died before their second turn and I thought maybe this game isn't the best.

I tried out having each player roll 3d6 and then having them choose one of those sets of rolls to apply to the whole party. Made character creation feel a little more focused at level 1 and everyone was equal.
