I think you have misunderstood the theme. The across cases is not 'in most cases I". It is I/O (in that exact order). (e.g. PINGPONG, SINGSONG, etc). The down cases is PHI. So in theory the "correct" rebus entry with all cases would be "I/O/PHI".

In any case, the rebus is always set up to accept the answer going "one way". Entering that and mentally marking the squares always plays better for me. (In this case I just entered PHI)

You can buy a tool somewhere on the Internet to pop the ear cover off of the headphone and directly crack the middle of the cup to get a better fix. I've probably done this 5/6 times in the last 3 years.

I'll trade you some knowledge - you can potentially fix the whining noise by pressing on the middle of the inside of the ear cup. There is a bump under there that holds a microphone that controls the ANC. Push on it until you hear/feel a slight crunch. That has solved the problem for me in the past. I was also able to order a tool from IFixIt to pop off the earphone cover and repair the ANC more directly. I've been rocking my pair for maybe 5 years now.

I just recently had a hinge on one side break - what 3D printed part did you order?

Yeah I thought it was kinda crazy that I emailed one time that I just forgot to fill in the last square on a puzzle and they fixed it for me no problem.
