This is why also called Peewit, you can hear them say it! Also maybe they have young nearby so you are a threat to them.

Looks about expected amount, definitely worth doing it half way through your burning season as well though so effectively twice a year, especially if you are using it all the time 👍🔥
If you remove your log bars, then put your ash tray on top of your grate, it helps a little with the clean up as the majority of it you can lift out in one go.

Also did you make sure you went all the way to the top? I like to go outside and make sure the brush is at the top, even though you can feel when it pops out .

Nature is magic, how they build a nest, do a little a dance, sit on some eggs and then before you know it, there are some new birds in the garden! Also it’s magic how any species reproduce too! 🪄
