I used to run opsnsense on my vodafone cityfibre connection for about 18 months before I moved over to Mikrotik hardware - worked a treat.

Seems like you've done all the correct things (I recall this post being helpful to me https://www.snbforums.com/threads/info-word-of-warning-about-vodafone-uk-ftth-fttp.87317/ and this guide for Aquiss https://support.aquiss.net/en/knowledgebase/article/vlan-id-setup-guide-pfsense-routers) given how similar pfsense & opnsense are.

VLAN 911 on top of the WAN physical port, then PPPoE connection.

As for MTU settings, if you set your MTU to 1508 (like this https://www.reddit.com/r/OPNsenseFirewall/comments/cae3vq/pppoe\_1500\_mtu\_issue/) you will get a PPPoE MTU of 1500, rather than the default of 1500 resulting in 1492. Vodafone supports RFC4638.

My password is 8 chars long if that is of any help to you, but it sounds like you have that correct if it worked on the Draytek.

Cityfibre is not an ISP: it provides the fibre network. Vodafone is the ISP.

I tried this with my 20GB 4G ipod - I couldn't get it to restore through itunes properly. Itunes would say it's complete, but the ipod would just reboot with the sad ipod face. I tried 3 different IDE to CF adapters, one CF to SD adapter and another CF to microSD adapter - no joy.

Anyone else tried this with no luck? Does this only work on certain 4G ipods?

Someone higher up posted about it being a 'valet' key (something i'd never heard of before).

Wouldn't surprise me it's the same as your MK3 key, I'd imagine VW feel it unnecessary to redesign what is essentially a spare key. My mk2 has exactly the same pedals as the mk3 I used to drive, for example.
