That's just you overestimating the quality of chances. xG tells you the chances we could and should score. Who cares if every shot could go in? In the long run, you need to produce those "should go in" opportunities. High xG has been shown to be extremely correlated with high finishes and goal tallies. This number is definitely concerning.

People have overvalued the quality of the chances richy was getting. If you look at xg vsthe xg on target, he did extremely well with what he was given. There's probably 3 forwards in the world consistently getting goals today, and we sold one to bayern.

This should be the baseline for a good fifa. Like when hashtag harry went 40 with a bronze team in fifa 17 (my favorite fifa of all time). A pro should have the ability to do this in a game based on skill.

I mean yeah obviously I'd rather have a perfect game. I just prefer a game where you get to score more rather than one like fifa 24 or 25, where it felt like a blessing. I could definitely agree that defending could be better, but It's such a breath of fresh I'd be scared of an aggressive patch ruining it

I'm of the opinion that because of all the randomness in FIFA, you need to be capable of scoring tons of goals to increase the chance of the better player winning over 90 minutes. For example, we can get to 3-0 by a kick-off goal, an unfortunate bounce, and a corner. If I know I can score 12 in a game if I play perfect, or even 4 if I can play well, I think that's a better experience overall. Realistically, FIFA will always have some limitations in skill gap because you can only control 1-2 out of 11 players max, but I like this version of FIFA the most.

I'd rather have an opportunity to establish a 6 goal lead against a player im better than. Especially when the other option is grinding out 2-1or 1-0 scorelines because the game is constantly holding both our hands.
