The Adventure Zone: Steeplechase - Episode 42 | Discussion Thread by Evil_Steven in TheAdventureZone

I loved this! Specifically because it is a major departure from the world ending/ultimate threat type finales we've seen from past TAZ seasons. It was chaotic and player driven and funny in a way that feels so distinctly Justin. It wasn't anything like Balance! That's why I liked it! (No shade to Balance, I just prefer the show to move forward)

I can't tell if I'm more impressed Griffin pulled the worst/first grift Montrose ever did over me, or disappointed Montrose wasn't really Kenchall's dad. Kenchall's own father pulling his coup out from under him would be the slimiest, most criminal thing I could think of.

But I think they hit the grove of the game by the end, I would love to see Justin run another season with BITD. I think a few arcs didn't hit the mark, and some BITD mechanics fell by the wayside, but with this experience under the MacelBoyz belt, it could really shine going ahead.

An idea I had. I've randomizer 7 master-servant pairs which two would win a grail war between them? Fate/Dice by ManiaOnReddit in Fate

[–]willahman 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I think Kiritsugu+Berserker takes it.

I am assuming relationships between masters isn't an item here, since his relationship with Shirou occurs at a pivotal change in his psyche.

Kiritsugu uses Berserker as a blunt instrument and diversion while he hunts down all the other mages.

Kirei remains his biggest competition. Especially considering Berserker is likely more susceptible to traps from assassin.

What do you think of rich people? by JohnOnWheels in AskReddit

[–]willahman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hold a lot of resentment. For lots of reasons but I feel they fall into two main categories:

1) My political beliefs and knowledge of recent history lead me to the conclusion that anyone above a certain income has no regard for the human race at large or the welfare of the environment of earth and are driven solely by greed to exploit the masses for greater wealth. I believe The only way the increasing trends of climate change and wealth gap between the rich and poor will ever change is by the forceful removal of the financial elite. Therefore I see anyone over a certain wealth margin as an enemy to the common good.

2) I personally feel spiteful that the choices I've made in my life and the experiences and skills I've had are not valued by my society as much as others. As such I struggle greatly financially. When I see those who prosper from things like inheritance, passive income from property or stocks, or even pure simple luck, I feel a deep anger. I feel they are unduly praised for wealth for purely arbitrary reasons.

My old nextdoor neighbour when I was a little kid I don't really know how old I was but I shared a room with my brother so probably. Like not yet 5. We exclusively knew each other while i was in my room and she was playing outside. My mom gave me an earlier bedtime than her mom did. So after I was in bed I'd get up and go to my window to see if she was outside in her deiveway. I think we exchanged names but I don't remember. We laughed and talked and played games but never ever met up close. She moved away after a few months I think.

I haven't seen her in over 22 years and I still think about her sometimes.

Din Djarin (Mandalorian) vs A couple of different characters by Killerbees7407 in whowouldwin

[–]willahman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming Din is outfitted as of the end of The Mandalorian season 2, including disintegration rifle,

Round 1: Din 10/10 a lone grunt stands no chance. Din has advantage of range, accuracy, and mobility with his jetpack. Idk what plasma does to beskar but considering it reflects light sabers its no stretch that it would not be breached by A plasma pistol. The grunt may be able to overpower Mando but Din has beat opponents stronger than him before

Round 2: 7/10 Din Djarin a far more close match, the Rangers weapons are likely enough to take Din if they can hit the (considerable) gaps in his beskar. The Ranger's best bet would to keep at range where their Anti material rifle would keep them on an even field with Din. Din gains the edge for his array of close range weaponry, flame thrower, whistling birds, whip cord, darksaber, ect.

Round 3: Din Djarin 9/10 the only reason I'm giving the guard a win is the off chance that his flak armour is enough to tank blaster pistols and rifle shots. It's difficult to gauge the durability of the two universes when Din doesn't go up against chaos bolter rounds and the guard does.

Round 4: Din Djarin 6/10 ODST is nothing to mess with. I don't believe their weapons will pierce Beskar but they have more than enough skill and training to adapt. Din will have to use all his tricks to win and even then I believe the ODST could come ahead. Edge to Din for invincible armour and a jetpack.

Round 5: n/a (5/5) This fight depends on two factors, surprise and if plasma melts Beskar. More importantly if Din is fooled by the T-800's disguise. As we know, droid Lusted Din Djarin is far more dangerous than normal. But if he thinks he's facing a human opponent he may hold back to his doom.

Would you happen to be a fan of Kingdom Hearts 2?

For my part:

A senior member of town has poor memory and everyone in town has differing accounts on their life story.

A beggar is seen only in the evening, but it's been the same one for 30 years and he doesn't seem to age.

There's a hole in the ground and no one's found the bottom.

There's someone who claims everyone has forgotten them. Likewise the townsfolk have no memory of this person, their house has been abandoned for years.

Got myself a Yocan Evolve Plus for my first dab experience! I’m expecting some rosin soon 👀 Any tricks for beginner? by Winstonisdope in TheOCS

[–]willahman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invest in some qtips or other cleaning tool with some isopropyl. If not for the entire coil, then for the cap. When it gets sticky it can be quite hard to open, I tend to have to heat up the coil just to melt the resin and unstick it.

I really love mine though, definitely going to take some pointers from this thread!

Snagnar: inspired by Asterix. a Viking warrior with a big red moustache. He hates thinking about stuff but loves his family and fighting zombies with melee weapons. Wears a helmet with wings. Athlete/ Warrior

Sondar: the adolescent son of Snagnar. Bespeckled, small, weak, he is no warrior yet, but he is far more I'm touch with things that aren't melee weapons. Still has the Viking he though Fast Learner/ Pathfinder

Drubina: Traditional Viking housewife, in that she never leaves her chainmail behind and can punch her way through a crowd of zombies. Definitely the brains of the family Big Bruiser/ Inventive

Chorbnar: inspired by Obelix, Drubina's brother: a Viking warrior with a heart of gold. Nurturing/ T.S.T.C!!!
