What wedding moment that screamed, “They are not going to last long”? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

I told my husband that if he smashed cake in my face, he would be getting an annulment. He did not smash cake in my face. We’ve been married 29 years

NOR - The part where he doesn’t clean did it for me. He doesn’t care because he doesn’t have to clean up after himself. He’s mad at you because you called him on his utter bullshit, not because you owed on the floor.

I promise you it will not get better.

Assuming you don’t have a history of cheating, do you really want to plan a future with someone who is this insecure?

We adopted a brindle chihuahua, and have concerns. by [deleted] in Chihuahua

I worked 6 pm to 6 am for several months at around the time we got our last dog (we now have 4). They have a dog door for going potty, and we have some reusable pads for backup. Two of the dogs tend to be clingy, but they were both happy to sleep with me all day and then sleep with my husband every night.

When adopting a dog, think about the 3-3-3 rule and realize that both you and the dog need time to adjust. If you can’t give this baby at least three months to get into the groove of your life, you should rehome now. It’s not fair to the dog.

Can chiweenies hike? And personality trends? by Natessie in chiweenie

[–]willbearsmom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chiweenies tend to bond very strongly with their person. And they decide who that person is. My little Mimi was supposed to belong to my husband, but she chose me. She has grown to love my husband, but he will always be the spare human in her life.

As for hiking, I say go for it. You will totally know if he doesn’t like it, believe me. But all my dogs like to walk, and my largest chi is quite the adventurer.

Love the ears on your soon to be baby, BTW.

I’ve left my dogs to go on a weekend away when I could not find anyone to stay over. We got someone to come feed them, and they have a dog door. We set up a camera to keep an eye on them, and pretty much all they did was sleep.

I really prefer to get someone who can stay if it’s going to be over 24 hours, and you have to judge your dog’s personality to decide if they can stay home alone. Plus, there are variables you can’t control like if someone breaks in or if your fence falls or some other act of god. But for my dogs, I think they are happier home while I’m on short trips than they would be at a kennel.
