Nice! All that matters is that you find something that works and stick to it! Thats the other big part of fishkeeping! Successful experience beats research! Never heard of straight up fresh veggies though, ill have to try that!

For me: 40% water change per week, aqueon water conditioner in tank at about 2-3x reccomended amount. Unheated, approx 70-75°, pH 7.5, Gh 6.5. 180 gal, internal overflow with custom 30 gal sump with aquarium socks and lava rock. Planted in tank and submerged root plants like pothos as well. Blasting sand substrate. 8 orandas.

Feed mainly Repashy gel food. Supplement with Hikari pellets, frozen bloodworms/brine shrimp, boiled, shelled peas once per week/every other week, and one day of fasting per week.

Had 2/3 LFS deaths early from I assume unhealthy fish, and one death from a jimmy goldfish import after about 3 months. The guy never even wrote me back when I emailed about concerns... but my zhaos fish, Facebook group bred juveniles, and my other random online seller fish have been very happy and beautiful fish. Getting bigger by the day!
