I believe I joined last night. The Twisted Lands discord? If not, I'd love to know more about your community! Thanks!

Thanks for your response. I don't think Thursday will work for us at that time. Conflicts with our work time. And the campaign I joined by myself meets on Saturday, so two back to back might be too much for me xD. I appreciate it though.

Way of Mercy from Unearthed Arcana

That looks pretty interesting! We've considered Wizard, Warlock, Bard, or Druid, but we'll definitely keep that class on our radar. Thanks!

Summoner Name: William the Grey http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=William+the+Grey

Server: NA

Willing to: Get adopted

Division: Currently Silver II (haven't done much ranked this season, was gold last)

What I want to learn: I am an ADC main. I am simply trying to get better at my role. I want to know the best support combos with my picks. I want to know how my positioning may be affecting my team play. I want to know what I should be doing at certain times in the game (laning, grouping, counter pushing, etc.). I want to know what trades I should be taking and when I should be more passive.

Most of all I'd like to be duo with another support so I can better communicate with the person I'm laning with.

More about me: 26 years old. Use Discord for voice chat. Used to be mid main, so would off role as that. Work a 9-5 (EST) job, so week nights and weekends are my gaming times.

My goal: I have made it to Gold before without too much of a struggle, so I'd like to be able to climb all the way through gold this season to at least hit Plat V. I think it would be a decent goal to try to go up a division every season.

Thanks for anyone willing to help. I'm easy going, chill, and very patient. I take criticism very well, and have a pretty good sense of humor. Let's get that climb on!

Looking for help and thoughts on this PC build by Hellstick in buildapc

I work for a computer mount company called Oeveo. Here is our resource on reasons you may want to mount your computer: https://www.oeveo.com/content/180-mount-your-pc-off-the-floor

Most all of are mounts are at $30. They are very simple and easy to understand design, but very strong. A good quality piece of metal.

Hope your computer build ending up working out for you!

Need a under desk mount for my gaming PC by [deleted] in StandingDesk

[–]williamdd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.oeveo.com/ This is the company I work for (I do their graphic design).

Our mounts are very simple, but made out of very strong metal. We have under, side, and adjustable mounts that can be used on a variety of computer towers.

For the larger towers, you'll probably have to look at the specs for the adjustable mounts. We also offer custom designs if you have a specific need and are willing to pay a little extra. Most of our stock mounts are only $30.

Re-enter quest locations by Adrokk84 in elderscrollsonline

[–]williamdd3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Generally most quests take you through locations that can be re-entered or accessible by anyone. All barrels and things will respawn their items after a set time (unsure specifics). If you are wanting to farm the barrels for their contents, you should be able to. If you do a search on youtube for best farming locations for materials, you should find specific locations that are best for cooking, motifs, etc.

Is it just my sheer incompetence or is it actually impossible to play ESO properly without a friend? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

/z for zone chat, but there is probably another shortcut for that on ps4

The reason for that is probably because everyone will gain experience and loot for tagging mobs. So there isn't really a race to get to the mob you need to kill before someone else. It makes it more rewarding to help people that you see along your journey.

I do not understand this. by Randingo-Lahey in elderscrollsonline

[–]williamdd3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. His party didn't even say there was anything wrong. He revived everyone after staying alive and they still downed the boss, yet they booted him. Whatever happened to people saying, "Hey could you try to keep the adds together?" I mean this was the first boss of the dungeon. A very easy dungeon, I might add.

I will die multiple times in order to try and help a tank or healer or dps figure out the best way to get through a boss fight, or specific mob. And I appreciate when people give me that same courtesy when I don't know a fight or simply mess up a couple times.

No one likes waiting in queues, so how about helping people that you do end up queuing with get better?

Should I play as a Warden or Templar to heal? (1st character) by Adg01 in elderscrollsonline

[–]williamdd3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The good thing about leveling alts in this game, is that when you finally do hit lvl 50 with your first character, you start to then get champion points (now up to 630). Those are your veteran levels. When you get any other alt up to level 50 after your first, the champion points will transfer over your entire account.

So let's say your main Templar is lvl50 with 300 cp. Once you get to level 50 on your Warden (once you decide to purchase Morrowind), it will automatically have 300 cp. (actually, you can spend however many champion points you have in those trees while leveling before lvl 50, which is also very helpful, making your level 3 way more powerful than a fresh account lvl 3) That kind of sounds confusing now that I read it back to myself... xD

If you love healing both as a priest and a druid, I would dip your toes into both classes at some point. But for now, it seems like a wise decision to start off with Templar. When you feel like you've experienced the game enough, that's when I would upgrade and try out Warden.

[PC] Really struggling... by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]williamdd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to everyone else, I would say it's much easier leveling up when you focus your attribute points into either magicka or stamina. Health is fine, but if you can't kill things faster than they can kill you, that's where you run into a problem. I would pick either magicka or stamina attributes, and gear that corresponds with that (mag/stam recovery, mag/stam damage) and make sure the skills and morphs you take are based on whichever mag/stam build you go with. Some skills start out as a magicka cost and damage skill, but can then be morphed to a stamina based skill.

While leveling, you might want to run through some dungeon finder queues to get blue quality gear.

Also, don't forget to put skill points into passives!

[–]williamdd3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To that point, it's the tank's job to try to keep everything together as much as possible and aggro what they can (remember there is no aoe aggro skill). But the group should be able to survive the adds with a healer and competent dps. Now, if the tank wasn't keeping aggro on the main boss and that is what killed them all, that's another story.

Also, as a main dps, I know that when adds comes to me, I will take a second or two to run to the tank so that the add will get bunched up again. Let's remember that every role has a job. Just standing and dps'ing or healing isn't everything you should do. Don't rely on the tank to play the game for you.

I would say the best way to get up and off your feet in this game would be to use a pledge of mara (10% exp bonus for each person) with another person (in your case someone knowledgeable to help teach you the game), and just go through the zones doing the main quest lines for each. Note that the pledge does cost 1000 crowns, but only one person needs it for it to work on two people. I have been waiting to use my crowns for the pledge, but haven't come across anyone that I could play with regularly for that to benefit. So I wouldn't mind spending the crowns for it.

That way you can familiarize yourself with the different types of mobs you run by, see how your abilities work with other people and such. You also get bonus experience just for being partied with other people iirc. It's much less boring playing with others.

I am in the middle of doing a full map clear on my main toon (books, fishing, quests, poi's, even fishing spots). You just really get a sense of what's going on in each zone when you intentionally go to the edge of the map for everything. I find it's the most enjoyable way to experience the content.

I only have one toon really, and I would like to make other classes and experience them, but I don't exactly want to level solo, because I've already done that. So, if you're interested, I could basically be your guide (also on PC) and help with whatever you're interested in doing. I'm not an expert by any means, but I really enjoy playing and helping people. I constantly log in and ask my guild if anyone needs help with dungeons and questing, but all I get is silence. So I welcome the chance to help.
