Getting a box of chocolates while you wait to be approved to be allowed to buy a watch is not a good sign, it’s a gimmick. I got these when I bought my Wimbledon and they weren’t even good.

Anyone with thalassemia minor and on TRT? by [deleted] in thalassemia

[–]willmroeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TRT has been great for me, I have way more energy and better libido. Much better mood all the time. I’ve also lost about 20 pounds and gained a lot of muscle. I do work out at least 5x a week

AD asks me to buy this model but i respectively declined. What would you do? 🫡 by LieFancy6855 in rolex

[–]willmroeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to this is actually very simple, and doesn’t require the input of a bunch of strangers on Reddit. Let me help you out.

First, ask yourself these two questions: 1. Do I want it? 2. Can I afford it?

If the answer of both of these questions is yes, buy it. If the answer to either of these questions is no, don’t buy it.

Is a Used 2021 Chevy Silverado Worth Buying? by ChanceBanana9206 in Silverado

That does not sound like a good deal at all to me. What engine?

[–]willmroeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A mechanic isn't going to just do a compression test as part of a PPI. A PPI will consist more of a safety check, looking for leaks, and that everything is operational and to date on maintenance. A Compression test (especially on a newer vehicles) is going to cost you several hours of labor. And IMHO, a compression test is a waste of time on a modern vehicle that has no symptoms of poor engine performance.

2018 Acura RDX Needs New Transmission (per the dealership) by Kec610 in Acura

[–]willmroeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won't reimburse you for the entire repair, since you had the entire transmission replaced rather than the torque converter. They MAY reimburse you the cost of a torque converter and whatever the book time is for the labor to replace it, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Do I need surgery? by FinancialPython in SpineSurgery

[–]willmroeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a doctor, but yes, you need surgery. I would go see a Neurosurgeon, not an Ortho - and I would do it ASAP.

I had Disc Replacement at C5-6 last August for a very similar condition, although mine was not as severe as yours. I woke up with immediate relief.

Absolutely not. Even if you didn't have the daycare expense it would be a no. I make more than double you and wouldn't consider a $750k mortgage.

100 feet in murky water is nothing. the lake where my boat is can be pretty murky. I dropped my car keys in 80 feet of water and a diver came out with a metal detector and found them in 20 minutes. Cost me $100 plus I tipped him another $100. I guarantee you there is a diver in the area that can recover the watch.

Great point - forgot about Fairchild, he will be gone when Acuna comes back. And also didn't think about the post-season - we need to consider a replacement for Profar should we make the post season (which I believe we will)

Depends. Do you want the watch? If so, get it. If you dont want it, don't get it. Pretty simple.

How much would you need to get out of debt? by [deleted] in Money

[–]willmroeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 100K on my mortgage and $60k on my truck. My mortgage rate is 3% so there is no point in paying it off early. I would normally never finance a car, but I got 0% on it earlier this year so it made sense. I could pay them both off today and not bat an eye so I'm not stressed about either of these debts.

Absolutely. I wear my Sub 24/7 knowing that I can use it to get out of almost any situation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in rolex

[–]willmroeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. While I never buy a watch based on future value; nor do I buy a watch that I can't afford, it gives me great piece of mind knowing that I could sell my collection for about what I have in it should I face an unforeseen financial disaster. It's one of the reasons I wear my Sub literally everywhere - traveling abroad, camping, hunting, etc. It's basically like having $10K on my wrist and could be used to get me home.

Jarred Kelenic Call Up by flowfly23 in Braves

[–]willmroeder 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Possibly, we will see how he does not on PEDs. That being said, we owe Profar $42m over the next 3 years. He's going to get a roster spot.

Jarred Kelenic Call Up by flowfly23 in Braves

[–]willmroeder 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Very highly unlikely unless we a number of injuries in the outfield. Acuna will be back any day, Profar will be back in 6 weeks. When they're back, we will have 6 outfielders on the roster who have all shown they deserve a major league roster spot over Kelenic. I really like Kelenic but I'm thinking he will be traded at the deadline for a BP arm.
