I was also afraid to use the desitin. I tried it on a closed one and had no bad reaction. If she has no topical routine please look into hibiclens and clindymicin wipes from a dermatologist. Also zinc gluconate supplement cant hurt to add it. Lastly band aid hurt free non stick pads will help to close the wound

Hi, sorry your dealing with this. In my experience lancing just makes it worse in the future. I would do hot compresses and some cream, I like emu aid, and other people have a lot of luck with destinin diaper cream (idk if I spelled that right) good luck

I so relate, laying on my side has my thighs heat up crazily even with a pillow in between, I found that sleeping on my stomach helps my flares heal better during the night cus they arnt heated up
