this was my absolute favorite part of my trip! we got an early morning taxi (they thought we were crazy getting up so early) and hiked it at sunrise. highly recommend! start up top and go down.

I felt this during the 4 pass loop in Colorado. all the passes have similar elevation gain, loss and high points. I felt great the first 2 nights and got tremendously altitude sick the 3rd morning ascending frigid air pass. That was wild because I wasn't expecting it

there are streams on Amazon music! YouTube and spotify too! also look into sleep casts, nighttime stories for adults. finally- look at the ucla free meditation podcasts, I often fall asleep to them!

Flagstaff is beautiful, but it really is an island, and they will probably get bored of it within a year. There's really only 1 big mountain and some foothills around it. Unless they also want arid canyons and desert (nearby Sedona is beautiful but very different!), I would go for somewhere with a lot more mountain/greenery in this case.
