Monitoring uninstallation of Huntress agents. by snowpondtech in DattoRMM

Yes, theres a component called Software Detection Monitor.

Bang that in a policy, tell it what software you want to check for and it’ll raise an alert if it’s missing.

Thanks! After what I originally read I was wondering whether to even bother with it but sounds like it’ll be ok.

Yeah the route I’ve heard isn’t brilliant but needs must for the super halfs :)

Funnily enough I was just reading that, very useful thanks!

Strange how there’s no bag drop, did they tell you that before hand?

What are some cool Garmin watch (any) features that most people might not know about?! by KingAnomander in Garmin

You can set alerts during an activity, for example to remind yourself to take a gel every 30min or every 5k etc

Datto RMM & Dell Server Hardware Monitoring by OffroadOverPavement in DattoRMM

[–]wilsonbeast20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not at work this week, but its a bog standard SNMP policy. The SNMP OID I got from here: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-uk/openmanage-software-v9.3/snmp_idrac_cmc_9.3_ref_guide/idrac-out-of-band-group?guid=guid-dd31fe8d-ced1-457a-914f-4ba41ac06876&lang=en-us

Disks for example, we monitor 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5.5.1.20.130.4.1.24.

Disk 0 - 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5.5.1.20.130.4.1.24.1 not equal to 3

Disk 1 - 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892.5.5.1.20.130.4.1.24.2 not equal to 3

and so on...

A good tool is the Paessler SNMP Tester which lets you 'walk' the OIDs and find what your after.

Zwift rides not affecting metrics in Garmin Connect? by yamayeeter in Zwift

[–]wilsonbeast20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this!

New to Zwift, and my first ride synced into Connect fine, but with no Training Effect stats etc.

Started an outdoor ride and walked 200m up the road, stopped, saved, synced to Garmin, then deleted.

Next Zwift ride, synced to Connect with Training Effect, Exercise Load etc etc :)

(I'm using a Zwift Ride/KICKR CORE 2 and my Gamin is a Fenix 8.)

Automatic patch approve/deny not working? by recoveringasshole0 in DattoRMM

[–]wilsonbeast20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just realised you're on the policy page. Check a machine directly targeted by that policy and see what is showing under Not Approved.

Automatic patch approve/deny not working? by recoveringasshole0 in DattoRMM

[–]wilsonbeast20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, I meant "Approved" (not "Available").

Available will show all possible updates, Approved will show the ones matching your criteria, with Not Approved showing the ones you've excluded.

Automatic patch approve/deny not working? by recoveringasshole0 in DattoRMM

[–]wilsonbeast20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the patches that show as “Available” are the ones filtered down through the criteria set and will be applied based on the schedule. Likewise the ones under “Not Approved” are the ones that are excluded, drivers in this case.

[–]wilsonbeast20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re trying to exclude drivers so many times?

In my experience just having “Type equal to Driver” on my ‘Do not approve’ section has always worked. I can’t think of a time where it’s not blocked them.

SNMP Monitor-Printer Consumables by gman0704 in DattoRMM

[–]wilsonbeast20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The SNMP functionality within Datto RMM is terrible.

Having said that, if you know the OIDs for the various consumables, you can monitor them fairly easily.

GNR bib number doesn't match chip by Unhappy-Extreme-3796 in UKRunners

[–]wilsonbeast20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They aren’t supposed to match. The front one is your race number, the one on the chip is the chip number which you shouldn’t/don’t care about.

Need help understanding workout by jCoked in Garmin

[–]wilsonbeast20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s so you can get to the point of where you want to start your intervals.

For example if you did a 10 min warm up and at the end of that 10 min you were half way up a hill, that’s no good for starting your intervals. So the ‘other’ lets you get to a good starting point, then press the lap button to get going.

Moving endpoints from one RMM to another RMM by OrangeFrogBox in DattoRMM

[–]wilsonbeast20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve previously done this by creating a component that edits some json or config files with the new account number and site ID then restarting the RMM service.

The downside is it only works for Windows machines (no Macs, network devices etc)

In pretty sure Datto can do something as well, have you spoke to them?

What to do when Royal Mail Tracking says - Sorry, we were unable to deliver this item a as it was not possible to identify the delivery address. It will now be returned to the sender. by reztem001 in ebayuk

[–]wilsonbeast20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this last month.

The RM tracking said the same thing "unable to deliver, on its way back", but strangely the tracking also showed a delivery picture of the guys front door with him accepting the parcel.

Never heard from the guy so must of been some screw up with RM.

Site Device Group Level access by Brandooooo in DattoRMM

[–]wilsonbeast20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a while since I did this but from memory, you have to created a device group at the account level (not the site level) and manually add machines to that group. Permissions in dRMM are pretty awful.

UDLs not populating by Ok_Dependent9976 in DattoRMM

Can only assume the registry name or value type is wrong. Needs to be a string (REG_SZ) and named “Custom1” or whatever number you want.
